I think Scal would be a very good mascot...though even with a trampoline he couldn't dunk properly

This is true. He pretty much is the team mascot anyways isn't he?
Anyways back on topic. I'm sticking with Perk. I think for what we need, he brings the most in that 5th spot as far as what we need for defense, rebounding and intensity and an intimidator. Perk is our 5th man and the 5th starter deservedly so. I still think its more about just having 12 guys that do their thing though and play off each other. It's not so much as who is option 1,2,3 etc...

Well he seems to be the joke of the team and he accepts the role but so does Pollard in a sense..If you've ever watched Celtics Now you'd see some weird but somewhat funny stories with Pollard...

Yes Planet Pollard is somewhat funny. I liked the one when he was zamboni watching like it was some exotic animal in the wilderness.

Yes! I appreciate Pollard's humor to just laughing at Scal...I guess Scal's role is to accept the fact that he's laughed AT..while we laugh WITH Pollard..Scal rises up the crowd a bit when he actually sinks a shot though so he's pretty useful then i think..

Scal has his moments ever 20 games or so. There was one game I really appreciated scal. He came in and hit a few shots and the crowd started going nuts and you could see scal was all pumped up and he took the ball and tried to jam it over teh top of ilgauskis i think. He didnt make the shot but he got fouled and took it hard to the rim. that was the best i've seen of scal. He does get hot sometimes and will rise to the crowd and stuff. He may not be very good but he does play hard. Not saying we need him but I'd take someone like Scal over Mark Blount any day of the week.,

With Scal(especially this year since he gets inconsistent minutes) you have to expect to play 4 on 5 on offense...His shot is REALLY streaky and you can tell he never can find it when he gets his chances...but he does play outstanding team defense, rotates well, and tries his all..but i still can't help but laugh at him ..

The thing with scal is he is a good 12 or 13 man because you can just put him on the IR. Pollard nad Pruitt i'm a little more worried about if they can actually fill those final 2 spots. That's still in question and is really the only question on our roster currently. we actually might need those guys to play somewhat fairly critical roles come playoff time.

I truly deep down believe in Pruitt, maybe a little too much..I can't say logically why i think he's solid enough it's just something i feel he is without him even playing much...I question whether Pollard's ankles will ever be healthy enough for solid minutes constantly, it's starting to look like no, but i'm not the doctor so i can easily(and hopefully) be wrong...But, who's better than Pollard that we can get for free and fit that role?

I dont know. I think if we make a move its going to be like pruitt and scal. Or pollard and scal for a slight upgrade. I dont see that happening so we will probably just watch the waiver/buyout wire and see if an improvement comes along. If it does we might swap one of those guys out. We also have an open spot where we can just add someone to add to our depth, and keep those guys as well. I still like pruitt and pollard and think they can be that. They are the only guys that havent shown they can be that yet. I think house, posey, ta, baby and powe are pretty much locked in the other 5 spots. And Perk is locked as the 5th starter. I dont see any of that changing.

Then here's the problem...Say somehow you get like Lue/Cassel instead of Pruitt..Then who does Doc play- House, TA, or the new guy? House and TA have already proven they're reliable but putting them down for someone new could really disrupt everything...Same thing with adding a big man, what if they take too much away from Powe/Baby/Perk..Though you could argue that Powe/Baby aren't ready for the playoffs yet but i'd like to differ and think they're season production could continue to at least a lesser extent and then that's when the Pollard type player comes in...just when Powe/Baby struggle and to bring in the size...If we upgrade those positions it may disrupt those rotations Doc has finally set in and the guys role...

Well that's what i've been trying to explain. Normally come playoff time you shorten your rotation. You dont expand it. It wouldnt hurt to have cassell in there for situations, but is he really going to want to come here and play a very diminished role? There is no way to play all 12 guys every game. It's good to have the best options in situations and it can be done, but this is why I still like pruitt. this is also why I like pollard and scal as well. Because they fit that role and expect to not play every game. when they actually get in the game those are guys that might give you 10 minutes in a game and do really well.

I'm beginning to think maybe Pruitt should go back to the D League. Maybe that huge game was an anomaly. He should be getting more time one way or another or we should try to do something and upgrade. If we ever had an injury to Rondo for an extended time, or Rondo AND House at just the wrong time we'd be screwed right now. We'd need Pruitt to at least give quality backup minutes and right now I don't trust him to do that.
I am also beginning to think Pollard burned his brains on drugs. Kids do drugs might just have been his philosophy

Well that's why we might swap Pollard and Pruitt out come playoff time if ainge or whoever thinks they aren't going to cut it if called upon. We might be better off with sam cassell or another big man sitting there. But who knows. Is Sam goign to be happy being just another guy on this team vs playing 30 mpg ,because he's not going to get that here. If he really wants a ring some players will sacrifice to get it and maybe someone better than pruitt or pollard will sacrifice.

Well, I'm wondering what Doc has in store for Pruitt cause i know he'll try to keep give him some time expecting the need for him in case of emergency or a couple minutes...Danny also is a tricky fellow, he's known for pulling the trigger without warning and i'm sure some guys will get bought out and what not...Though Lue seems like one of the few guys i really embrace since he seems most likely to take a lesser role to fit in the usual Tony/House backcourt...
