Luis Scola, Darko, Hilton Armstrong, Channing Frye, Johan Petro, Kris Humphries
I am kinda curious to see where you guys are on this. I think it's rather clear which of these players would be basically best to have and I think some people are just hung up on pword and the grass always being greener.
What I would say is that there are no free agents or guys in the NBDL out there like these guys. Maybe a geezer who could help for a year but I'd rather have every one of them than Pollard or Scala as long as the money wouldn't be horrid (like Darko).
None of these guys are available for Scala and a late first rounder or Pruitt or something. Would you trade Powe or Davis for that?
Basically we have to grow and get better from within. Pruitt, Powe, and Davis should be getting minutes. Scala and Pollard should not.

I'd take Powe and Big Baby. I was impressed with Craig Smith the other night though. He's a good garbage big man. All those guys are good and pretty similar. They all do similar things. The question is how many of these garbage types do we need? We have 2 in Davis and Powe. Scal and Pollard are good for matchups and fouls and filler pretty much. Pollard can play when we play a big man and play some defense and get some fouls. Scal can stretch the defense a bit and play some defense and get some fouls.

Well if these guys are garbage what are Scal and Pollard? Nuclear waste guys? I profess I never understood the term garbage player. Is it a reference to doing the dirty work? Cause Scal and Pollard sure don't do any of that?

I don't know. Powe and Davis are actually good. If we are talking in the literal sense Scal and Pollard are garbage players. My only point was that each guy serves a purpose to this team. Scal as useless as he seems does serve a purpose. He doesn't hurt you when he is on the floor. HE hits the shots he should for the most part and plays pretty good defense. He basically filler and for matchup purposes. Same with Pollard. I was more talking about doing the dirty work though and actually being productive in banging around and gettting rebounds and points and stuff. My only point was how many of these guys do we need? Our bench only needs 2 productive guys and 2 other guys that can come in and be filler anyways. We can't play more than that. A championship team normally has a rotation of 10 players. We are 10 deep with production right now in House, TA, Posey, Baby, Powe. With Pruitt, Pollard, Scal as matchup and filler players if we need a certain matchup. They aren't good enough where they need to play every game, and they serve a purpose and fit well for what we need. We need a pg at some point Pruitt could be that. We need a big man to come in and match up Pollard could be that. We need another big who can shoot it a bit and play defense Scal can do that. They are the end of our bench and fit what we need. People forget Pollard per minute is a good rebounder and defender. He doesn't play ebcause we don't need him right now. People are saying we need a big man, when we have pollard sitting there and we don't even utilize him right now, because we dont need to.. If we can upgrade those 3 guys sure. But we don't need to. If we feel Scal, Pollard and Pruitt can't be that when the time comes, I think we will see Ainge make a move, but I haven't seen any reason why they can't be that as of now.

I think this Spurs game basically proves CF is right about not fixing what ain't broke. Maybe some depth but that's it. Just give Davis and Powe mins and everything can be fine.

I would go with Powe and Baby. As Red Auerbach always said, attitude is a big part of picking successful players and we couldn't get guys with better attitudes than these two have. Add to that the fact that they can both play and I take these two.

I think Craig Smith and Jason Maxiel would fit in like Baby and Powe. Both of those guys play hard and fight for the ball.
But like you guys have said, Baby and Powe have the ability to be at their level (if they aren't there already), so its not a big deal to go after them.
I feel that Powe or Baby will solidify our backup PF spot for the future. What we need is a young PF who has the potential to be better than them and have that player start at the 4.

I thought this was a fairly obvious answer that I'd go with proven talent, but I didn't count on Powe and Baby proving themselves tonite against Duncan without any help from....anyone. Certainly none from Perk and KG. Maybe they're a lot better than I thought and after that layup from Powe against Minny they just keep giving us reasons to believe.

I voted for Sean Williams. I was really hoping for the Celtics to draft him. He's one of the most exciting players to watch in my opinion.

The way Powe and Baby are fitting in this team right now i'll take them since i can't see anything major in those other guys to pick them over the small duo we have already....Plus, Powe is my hero ... Oh, and i think Pollard and Pruitt can fill the role when needed but Scal hasn't really shown me anything..He's basically useless on offense..Before he used to stretch the defense and hit a shot when need be but now he either air balls it or refuses to hold onto the ball ruining the offense..He's smart and perfect for defense but he leaves our offense playing 4 on 5..But if we can't get anyone better than him, we're still alright cause Scal won't be playing THAT much anyway, that's not his role..

And there's much more to come from Powe. He's got post offense we haven't seen yet. Clifford Ray needs to work on Powe's un and under move--the one that made Jefferson a 20 ppg scorer. Powe is not Big Al's equal, but he can be a terrific bench guy.

Sean Williams. When we're talking players of this caliber, I'll take the guy that has the most upside.

We definitely need a big-man or two for emergency purposes. I cant imagine we leave the roster as is when you go up against Shaq/Yao/Big Z of this league. We have two roster spots left why not fill them?
