Its almost impossible for us to get Shaq without trading away someone from the Big 3 because of Shaq's outrageous contract, but if we could, would we be unstoppable?
Even if he's just a shadow of his former greatness, he's still a good enough Center to be reckoned with. His immense size dwarfs Perk in comparison.

There a handful of big men I'd take over Shaq, but he would def. be an upgrade. But what were the Suns thinking? Maybe theyll prove me wrong, but i cant see how adding a 400 pound dude to the lineup is going to bode well with a run and gun team like the Suns.

That's the thought that came to my mind as well. The Suns are an uptempo team, and for anyone who has seen Shaq the last couple of years, he ain't running.
Does this mean the Suns will slow down and play more halfcourt? Will they run down the shotclock more?

Unfortunately for the NBA, Stoudamire now will play his natural position, PF and has been out of position playing C for 4-years.

Does this mean the Suns will slow down and play more halfcourt? Will they run down the shotclock more? No not really..Why can't they still run a 4 man fast break? That's still very effective..You don't need the whole team running the fast break..Plus this just lets the Suns vary their offense by either gunning it for quick buckets or just lobbing it to Shaq down low and grinding the game...The Suns really needed a big force to get over the West though i'm not sure Shaq can still cut it...I think it's a decent trade for the Suns though i'm sure they could've gotten better for Marion...Think they were a bit too anxious... Unfortunately for the NBA, Stoudamire now will play his natural position, PF and has been out of position playing C for 4-years. yes, not a good thing for everybody else..

Phoenix is tryign to win it all. Phoenix still has bell, barbosa, hill, etc.... It depends how much Shaq ahs left and how much he wants to win one last ring though. IT looks like its going to be phoenix and boston in the finals now...

It all depends on how much Shaq has left in the tank. I'm happy he got traded to pheonix as I believe his stats will go up tremedously because of the Steve Nash affect. Are they unstoppable with Shaq? No. The best way to attack them would be to get Amare and Shaq into foul trouble. Both players are prone to make stupid fouls early in the game.
Also, Rondo needs to attack Steve Nash at will. Suns don't have a Shawn Marion type player who can defend quick guards in order to shadow Nash's poor defense. Rondo could easily have a field day against them.

Well, the Lakers and the Suns have just upped the ante, and I expect the Mavericks to do likewise. There have been some rumors about Kidd going to Dallas (to where he started his career), and it may actually happen.
If we meet Shaq in the Finals, Ainge better make sure Doc has a plethora of big men to use because we will need a lot of fouls.

You may have unlocked the secret for Scalabrine's role in Boston, RR ;D
We have Powe and Baby to offer their fouls, but they will use it up before the half.

Kareem did not slow down the "Show Time" Lakers -- they simply ran a 4-man fast break, and if the break wasn't there, they held up while Kareem jogged down into the low post. [glow=red,2,300]IF[/glow] he is healthy, he will help them in the playoffs, as their lack of interior D has doomed them in the past couple of WCFs. He gives them at the most this year and next year, but with Nash turning 34, their window is quickly closing so I see why they would be anxious enough to take the gamble -- especially since Marion has been whining for a trade the past two years.

PHX should be a force upfront w/ Diesel, and Stoudamire.
