www.draftcity.com/viewprofile.php?p=287Sorry, I know this should be in Derrens Draft Corner, but I can't create threads there. I just wanted to let you guys know that Gerald Green's profile is now on draftcity. He sounds like he's gonna be good. Any possibility of getting him in the 06 draft?

Gerald Green, Dunk Machine. I havent had a chance to see the Mcdonalds all american game yet but I saw the dunk contest for it and he was the man. Not sure what kind of game skills he has though..

He is likely to go out this year. He has signed at Ok.St., but I think he is testing the waters without hiring an agent.
Dallas paper cited speculation that he might even be a lottery pick.

Hes a high schooler isn't he? If so, he'd be the only one in this yrs draft.

Gerald Green is the best high schooler this year. I don't care much for the others, like CJ Miles, Louis Williams, or Monta Ellis. Gerald Green is a much better prospect and I think he has the best chance of making a name for himself. I didn't really walk away impressed with his shooting ability, though he was knocking down the three's in the McD's game. He seemed to shoot the ball prematurely, releasing the ball before he got to his apex. But like I said, he was knocking them down, so if it works, let it be.
He's an excellent athlete. One of the best leapers around. He easily got his forehead parallel to the rim on his dunk attempts in the dunk competition. And he's a smooth dunker too. Crisp, powerful, with some grace. He wasn't original with his dunks and he doesn't have a style of his own, but he is an impressive high schooler.
I think he's a top 12 pick.

I'm not sure that he has been well coached. The school is some kind of "innovative" thing which has a former U. of Houston player as coach. Article I read made it sound real laid back. They attract players kind of in the way that Oak Hill does. But don't think theyh do the academics that well. And don't think the coach does what the guy at Oak Hill does.

you know, they said that our own al jefferson was undercoached as well And he definitely was. Big Al is extremely raw, but lucky for us, he's a quick learner.

Had not been for Al J's quick learning, he could have been a bust. I think people had him on their radar as being a crap player.

I really wonder if AJ is a quick learner, or if he is just a wonderfully talented kid who intuitively does certain things.
Doesn't matter. he isen't looking like a bust.
By the way: although I haven't been looking, I don't recall seeing Swift's name mentioned anywhere.

Green will be in the top 10 in this year draft. When you have athletic ability like his and have the potential to be the next T-Mac. No way he getting passed up. I wouldn't be surprise if he taken in the top 5.
Far as the Celtics go, I wouldn't be surprise if they take a HS in this draft especially with the success they had with Al and Perk. I think Andray Blatche could be a consideration at our pick. He is around 6'11" - 7'0" tall and he has a 3-point shot. He sort of has a KG type of build. Wouldn't mind drafting this kid and develop him up.
