There are a few familiar names available at the point via free agency/waiver:
Damon Staudamire Troy Hudson (set to be released to make room for Webber) Earl Boykins
or Sam Cassel via trade (which seems less and less likely)
Who would you rather see in Green?

Sam Cassel would be the guy for me from your list of available PG's, but since we need to trade players to get him, I don't know if we'll be able to swing a deal for him without hurting our future (I doubt they'd take Scalabrine for Cassel).
Next would be Boykins or Hudson. I like Boykins better cause he amazes me with his ability to put up points despite being a chihuahua among giraffes, but Hudson wouldn't be a bad option either.
I am against Stoudemire. He's not much more of an improvement over House.

Hudson is spent. Randy Livingston would be a much better option than Hudson. He has no business being on a NBA roster.

I said Gary Payton will be more likely our choice, I prefer him over everybody without Cassell, but we need to make a trade for Cassell, so I prefer Payton over him. My choices are Gary Payton and Chris Anderson

I agree that Payton wouldn't be a bad choice. He already knows Doc's system and already has the trash talk down so would fit right in. Cassell would be my second choice. He may be bought out or they may take Tony/Scal for him. Miracles do happen. Third choice would be Delonte West who is on his way out in Seattle. Forth would be Stoudamire. I wouldn't give anyone a long term contract since we have Pruitt in the wings coming up.

Delonte West is on his way out of Seattle?
Not surprising since Luke Ridnour and Earl Watson are ahead of him on the depth chart. Trouble is, I don't think of West as a true PG. He is a combo guard.
Cassell is good but we would have to sacrifice something to get old Sam. Plus he doesn't have a lot of years left in this league.

Cassell would be my first choice, but it looks like that won't happen..After that, i'd rather get no point guard than the ones we have available...West would be nice though too...

Cassel. Hudson is injured, and Stoudamire is not an improvement.
