Celtics inbound to start the third. Rondo misses a floater in the lane and Zach rebounds. Robinson drives to the hoop and is fouled. He misses the FT. PP tips the rebound out but Knicks come up with it. Crawford hits a runner in the lane. KG misses a jumper over Zach. Robinson rebounds and pushes it up the floor. Lee misses against Perk and Perk gets the rebound. RA misses a 3 and Celtics rebound. KG misses an alley oop and stands there staring at the ref. Replay showed that Lee pushed him on the shot. Knicks miss and KG gathers the rebound at the basket. Rondo drives and lays down for Perk wh hits a hook shot. Knicks hit a jumper. Rondo misses a runner and Perk rebounds. He is fouled by Lee on the put back attempt but no call. Lee is fouled going to the basket. Lee misses both FTs. They count the second because they say KG touched the ball above the cylinder. PP drives down the lane and lays it in. Knicks throw it away as a pass goes into the back court. Celtics inbound on the side. KG backs into the lane and puts in a one handed set shot. Knicks miss and Perk rebounds. KG kicks out to PP who sets his feet and hits a 3. Jeffries misses and PP gathers the weak side rebound. RA misses a jumper. Knicks rebound. Time out with Celtics up 68-52. 6:38 left in the 3rd.

Knicks inbound with 16 on the SC. Offensive foul as Powe takes the charge. Thibodeau up off the bench shouting encouragement and instructions. PP hits a pull up jumper. Randolph misses a hook shot and Lee tips in the miss. KG misses a jumper. Knicks rebound. Knicks miss KG rebounds. Rondo drives to the hoop and misses a layup but is fouled. He hits both FTs. KG and Rondo with pressure in the back court. Rondo with a steal but is called for a foul. Knicks miss and Celtics rebound. Rondo drives to the hoop and his fouled very hard by Curry. Should have been a flagrant but they call it just a regular foul. Rondo hits the first and misses the second. Knicks rebound. Zach flips up a shot under the basket and it goes in. Rondo misses a jumper and Powe grabs the rebound away from Zach and Curry and lays it in. KG called for a foul. Knicks inbound on the side with 14 on the SC. Zach called for an offensvie foul as he elbows KG who comes up with a big smile. PP mk isses a 3. Zach rebounds. Offensive foul called on Curry as Powe holds him off. Pierce turns it over on a lazy pass. Zach gets the ball inside from Crawford and lays it in. PP is shoved out of bounds by Richardson. Double technical called on Pierce and Richardson after the hard push. Richardson called for another foul on PP. Time out called with 3:02 left in the 3rd and Celtics up 75-58

The Celtics are up by 17 points but hopefully they won't let up because the Knicks have come back from double digit deficits to win 2 of their last 4 games.

Garden crowd giving the Giants a standing ovation. PP comes over and congratulates the Giants players sitting courtside. Celtics need to be ready as the Knicks may use this to fire them up. PP hits the first and the second one goes halfway down and rattles out. Knicks rebound. Perk with a block on Zach and Curry gets the rebound and puts it in and is fouled.. He hits the FT. RA hits a 3 off the catch. Curry rolls to the basket and puts it in off the catch. defensive 3 seconds called on Knicks. RA hits the T. Celtics inbound with 14 on the SC. RA passes off to Perk who is called for a travel. PP and Richardson given second technicals and have beenh thrown out of the game. Richardson yelling as he goes down the tunnel that he'll get him in the back and threating to fight in the back. PP standing quietly and then goes back after Richardson already back. Knicks inbound on the side Curry rolls to the basket and is fouled as he misses a layup. He hits both FTs. Rondo walks the ball up RA puts a leaner in off the glass. Curry spins and is fouled by Perk who is called for a Technical for complaining about the call. Crawford is getting T happy. Knicks hit the T. Curry hits both FTs. Lead is down to 14. Tony falls and Knicks get a steal. Robinson takes it to the hoop for alayup. Lead down to 12. Time out as RA is trapped and can't get a pass off. Time out with 31 left in the 3rd and Celtics up 82-70. Celtics need to get it together. Just like I said in my last post the Knicks are coming back.

RA misses a 3 and Robinson rebounds. Knicks miss inside as the SC winds down. Rebound goes out off Celtics with 1 second on the clock. RA with a steal on the inbounds pass and misses a heave at the buzzer. Score at the end of 3 is Celtics 82 and Knicks 70

Knicks inbound to start the 4th. Zach hits a jumper and lead is down to 10. House misses a jumper and Tony grabs the rebound. Powe, House, Baby, Tony, RA in for the Celtics. Powe drives to the hoop and is hit very hard by Curry. the first FT goes in and out. Second no good and Knicks rebound. Knicks miss and Curry gets the rebound and is fouled. Curry misses the first. KG comes in for Powe to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Curry misses the second. RA rebounds. KG misses a jumper in the paint. Curry rebounds. Tony called for a blocking foul. Knicks inbound on the side with 17 on the SC. Randolph drives to the hoop and draws the foul on Baby who tries to take the charge. Zach hits both FTS to cut the lead to 8. KG hits a jumper from the FT line. Curry draws the foul on Baby. Celtics are already in the penalty. Curry hits both FTs. Baby with a pick and RA goes down the lane for a scoop shot. Crawford hits a 3. RA hits a 3 from the top of the arc. Baby with a steal. Celtics turn it over and Robinson drives to the hoop for a layup. Time out with Celtics up 89-81 and 8:20 left in the 4th

He hits the first and misses the second. Knicks rebound. Defensive 3 seconds on RA. They hit the T and inbound with 14 on the SC. KG deflects the pass and Celtics come up with i. KG with a pass inside to Baby who is blocked but they call goal tending on Curry. Randolph gets swallowed up inside and he kicks it out. Knicks misses a 3 and KG rebounds. KG misses a jumper on the baseline and Curry rebounds. Crawford misses a 3. Robinson grabs the rebound as he falls out of bounds and throws it off House. Robinson misses a jumper ff the inbounds pass. KG rebounds. KG hits a jumper over Zach. time out with 6:15 left in the 4th. Celtics up 94-82.
I will have to leave to take my daughter to work at 3:30 ET. I am taping the game and will finish the play by play when I get back.

Davis breaks up the pass inside. Knicks inbound with 13 on the SC. Jones misses a 3 from the corner and long rebound comes out to House. Jones called for a foul on KG. 4th team foul. Celtics inbound on the side with 14 on the SC. KG hits a jumper. Knicks have it deflected out of bounds. Knicks inbound with 16 on the SC. Knicks miss and Celtics rebound. Tony hits a jumper. Crawford hits a jumper. House hits a 3 from the corner. Lead is back to 20. Time out with Celtics up 107-87 and 2:16 left in the 4th. Gotta go and will be back to finish in a little while

Great job by Perk today..Celtics went back to what they did in the opening weeks in finding the open man..Rondo looked great though i saw him wince/limp a bit at some points..Pierce was having a great game(7 ast) but too bad he got ejected..Garnett helped calm the team down and Powe had another solid night..and Big Baby dunked the ball!..

Another solid win judging by the quick scan of the NBA play-by-play. Celtics beat the Knicks going away in this one. The Knicks have beaten up on some bottom feeders lately and caught Washington with poor energy after their weekend sweep of Boston. I guess with most teams having played 40 games..... I'll give a team by team review and see who is meeting expectations and who is coming up short and preview the second half of the season. Celtics are at 33 and 6 and after their bad week, have had three excellent wins in a row. I expect this team to stay on top of the EC standings the rest of the regular season. This is a remarkable turnaround from our low point May 22, 2007 when we got screwed in the lottery.

It is a formality right now, but Here is the end of the game. Knicks inboung and Robinson hits a shot over KG. Robinson steals the ball and misses a 3 from the corner and KG rebounds on the baseline. RA is fouled and h its the first. Doc takes KG out. Jerome James comes in to chorus of boos from the crowd. RA hits the second. Robinsom misses a jumper and Scal rebounds. Celtics miss a 3 and Knicks rebound. Collins hits a runner on the baseline. RA spins into the lane and misses Big Baby misses the put back and RA takes an elbow to the face on the rebound. Celtics with a 24 second violation with 2.8 left in the game. Knicks inbound and miss a 3 at the buzzer. Final score is 109-93
