I don't know about you, but I would prefer Ray Allen to skip this All Star game and rest his ankle and body much as possible. I know it's always good to see our guys on the All Star weekend but Ray is 32 and he's been getting big minutes from Doc. With some rest maybe he would be more fresh at the final part of the season and, most of all, at the Playoffs... Anyway, it will be very nice to see another Celtic jersey in that game other than the #34  |

I am not sure R Allen will be an all star. KG - yes. P2 - yes. R A - undecided.

If RAllen isn't voted in by the fans, I think he'll have a shot when the coaches get to pick who they think should be in it (reserves). Honestly, I would like to see him play in the All-Star game (I want to see all of our guys in there), but I also want Ray to rest his ankles and be stronger for the second half and the playoffs.
Do I think he deserves it? Hmmmm..... his numbers aren't good as it was throughout the rest of his career, but he's been a valuable part of our success.

If the C's keep winning at this pace he's in. Elite teams always get their share of players in the all-star game. He's putting up Richard Hamilton-like #s this year, so I would suspect he'll take Hamilton's place in this year's all-star game.

For Ray's sake, I'd like to see him make it. For practicality I'd like to see all 3 sit it out. But it means a lot to these guys to make the All Star team. They don't play that much in the game and it isn't like he will get tackled in a game or anything. So, if the coaches pick him, then I say good for him.

If he plays it's only a few minutes of playing time. I think his body can handle it and I don't think the travel is so bad either. It's a fun enough weekend. It would be sweet to see three Celts in the all-star game.

I agree with FL that I'd like to see all 3 make it, and it is kind of a big deal to see all 3 there at the game. Not taht they have to play much. It's basically a vacation anyways. I think it is something special that should be honored if they all make it.
