This just in from "The Nether-world!"
thelakersnation.com/blog/?p=1860
Our friend in L.A., Eric Pincus, who covers the Lakers for HoopsWorld , has sent the above photo, posted to the "Lakers Nation" site, with a warning:
With the Celtics arriving from a grueling game in Utah, to play their 4th game in 5 nights, the well rested (and red hot winners of 8 of their last 10) "Fakers" have decided to rev up their hyperbole machine to make this game the renewal of the famed rivalry from decades past.
Complicating matters for the Celtics is the fact that Phil Jackson needs one more win to pass Red Auerbach on the all time win list.
With Red's daughter going to be in attendance, the tastelessness of this gesture is apparent.
Well, Celtics Stuff Live will be ready.
Our guest this week will be "Spooky" Tim Weisberg, the Celtics writer for the South Coast Standard Times.
Tim also hosts a radio show on the occult; "Spooky Southcoast. "
You might remember, the first time Tim was on the show, he blacked out central Maine.
We'll be seanceing with the ghost of Red and trying to pull back the Leprechaun from the Meadow-lands, to offset the hate and venom of those conscious-less souls from L.A., who are lamely trying to steal the spotlight from the Celtics fabulous, early season achievements, by taking advantage of the worst possible circumstances.
We will surely also ask Tim to repeat his message from his column of Dec. 24th , that he does not take the Lakers seriously.
We hope you will join us.

I must say LA is pretty geeked up about Sunday – at the end of the game yesterday there was a “We want Boston” chant. Should be fun – plus the Lakers have a cosmetic surprise at the game that should be good for a laugh – more on that Sunday - EP

....a deal to Chicago was "very close" and his No. 1 destination "with a bullet." But the improved play of Andrew Bynum has Bryant rethinking a La-La Land exit. One good trade (i.e. Jason Kidd), and the Lakers are a serious team.
