Celtics did not do anything fancy, just a solid effort and with the exception of the 2nd qtr where Wally Z and Delonte West went off and did real damage, the Celtics had the upper hand.
Paul Pierce was outstanding, especially in the 2nd half.
Seattle played as well as they could but did find any favorable situations, except Garnett was disappointing. The Celtics went to the three ball attack and gradually pulled away from Seattle in the third and fourth. There were no notable runs by either team in the 2nd half.
The crowd was supportive of the Sonics but there was a lot of anger directed at the ownership and there will be an attempt by the City of Seattle to litigate against the ownership to force them to keep the team in Seattle for three more years until the lease with the Key Arena runs out.
The Washington State government is not interested in building a new arena to replace the Key by the Space Needle.
My dinner tab on top of the needle ran close to 120 bucks before the game.
There were only about 10% Celtics fans in attendence.
Ray Allen got a Standing O.

Hey Q! I took a look at the C's at Rome in the first game of the season, against the Raptors. And it was m-a-g-i-c! Hope you enjoyed. Do you expect to watch another game?
