Just thought I'd throw this out there and get a feeling for who most of us thinks is more valuable to the ballclub. Feel free to comment about your choice.
And the topic is who is more valuable, and not who do you like better.

I think you could go with either one but i really believe Pierce is more valuable...Ray is primarily a deadly shooter but Pierce can be a shooter, slasher, and a better defender when he puts his mind into it...Especially now, Pierce is actually shooting better than Ray even though Ray is the shooter and Pierce racks up more assists and is also a solid(better) rebounder...I think we haven't used Allen to his best abilities(we need to set more picks/screens for him..have him run around) but if you take Pierce out of the big 3 i think it would be slightly more impactful than taking Allen out...

Pierce can be the more valuable player since he is more versatile than Ray. But I think Pierce disappoints me more than Ray cause he doesn't always play to his capabilities.

Pierce is more valuable but he is also more frustrating.

Shooting goes to Ray, but overall game, confidence and ability to change a game goes to P2.

PP can be a game changer on both sides of the court unlike Ray-Ray. If we're talking about clutch shooting, i'll take Ray-Ray over Pierce. But, the other 3 quarters of the game give me Pierce all day.

Ok, lets turn the question around to:
Who has been more valuable so far this season?

Paul is still more valuable so far.He has those moments of isos were he hurts the team and takes bad shots but Ray has been struggling shooting open shots and has taken bad shots too(shooting 3's on the break with a 3 on 1 !) A lot of times Ray dribbles the ball for 5-10 seconds and really messes up the offense the same way Pierce does so i think both of them have been frustrating at times this season..But when they're on, Pierce is more valuable since he can score and create for others with his penetration and Pierce has been deadly from the 3 this year and is shooting a better percentage than Ray overall and from the three point line!!!...Simply, both of them are still adjusting to this offense and there are still some tweaks needed to be done so it can change...

Ok, lets turn the question around to: Who has been more valuable so far this season? P2, but he has been w/ Boston longer.

This is a trick question, there is no answer when you talk about "value." That is like asking, who is more valuable, tony parker or manu ginobili. If you are trying to win a championship, you cannot do it without either guy. Same if you asked, who is more valuable, billups or hamilton. When talking about winning a ring, the Pistons aren't in that conversation without either guy.
Now, if you change the format of that question to "who is the better player." Now we have a debate. One that I think is easy to answer, and always has been. Both are great, both are hall of famers, but PIerce is and always has been the better PLAYER. Pierce is a better scorer, rebounder, passer and defender. Allen clearly the better shooter from long range and at the free throw line. But that is where it ends for Allen, Pierce has him in every other category that matters. Like most comparisons between players, the reason for the edge to PIerce really comes down to strength and size. Pierce owns him in both of these, making him the better player. Either way, take one away and we're looking at a 50 win team with really no chance to win an NBA title.
