From FL's News section:
According to sources, Boston plans on sending our assistant GM to scout Kedrick Brown down in the D-League. Yup! The 2001 1st round 11th pick by Boston has apparently been averaging just under 15points and 6 rebs per playing SF for Anaheim. The news is he has become a "Bruce Bowen" type defender and has a reliable shot from the 3. However, Anaheim Coach Reggie Geary, says he may need to spend a full year in the D-League before anybody will fully know if he is ready to resume his Pro career in the NBA. From all indications, it seems he's ready.
Thoughts on adding another Forward?

This scouting is probably for next year. I can't see him as a big improvement over Br Wallace. They should try them out against each other

I always loved kedrick and have a soft spot for him. I think he is an extremely talented guy who was just lost and thrown into the pro level way too early for him mentally.
If he's been playing nad has shown signs he's ready I'd be the first person to sign him up. I think he has the right attitude and a good heart and is a hard nosed player if given a second chance. I saw something in him when the C's drafted him and I'm usually pretty good about those things and I still think he has that.
Some guys are quick learners and just get it, and Kedrick always struck as a guy who is a slow learner and wasn't ready, but if he ever finally gets it and is given a chance he can shine.

He's only 26 and I say sign Kedrick!!!! Posey, Allen, Kedrick could potentially give us an awesome defensive physical bench if what I think is true. Which I believe it is of course.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6Lor0CwwTE&feature=relatedlook at him. He's a freak of nature athetically. If he has been playing basketball and has learned the game he's an awesome pickup. GEtting Kedrick is like letting Gerald Green go to the d-league for 5 years and then signing him up.

Yeah but anybody can rule the d-league. When I hear D League I think "high school". Seriously. Pruitt never scored 32 points in college (well maybe he did, but it doesn't seem like it). There's one other thing. If DA is going to do this it takes a lot of guts. If he fails everyone will be like "didn't they learn the first time"?
The BEST player in the D league is a last stringer in Boston so I don't really see the point. Ever notice when an awesome D Leaguer gets called up they do nothing? It's practically for practice purposes. I don't think Brown can help them win. They need to concentrate on getting guys that can help.
Is PJ Brown still out there? Plus there are other vets that can be traded for that still have kick in them but aren't highly valued. Call Reggie M again. Try people out.
I have faith in DA to do this the right way and scouting is the right start.

There are several guys in the leageu that are d-league success stories. Azubuike, Moon, Mickey Moore and several others.

Matt Barnes, Matt Carroll.... I don't see why Kedrick couldn't be one of those guys.
We aren't talking about guys that lead the d-leauge and are lifers there with a lack of talent. We also aren't talking about guys that get sent down and called up just because there isn't roster space. I'm talking guys which actual talent that spend time there honing their games and learning the game. Those are the guys that succeed and Kedrick imo fits into that mold.

If i remember or understand right there aren't any guys that were in the league for years, then went to the D for years, then came back. There is Anthony Parker but he went to Europe. Most of those guys were near rookies when they made it to the league although I think Barnes floated around a long time

Wow, I can't wait.
I love Kedrick, anyone remember when we were playing San Antonio and he cam out of nowhere and swatted Duncan? That was crazy.
Also if we still need a backup PG, i think Joseph Forte is still available. He went to Carolina so he is definitely better than JJ Redick

There's a big difference between Joe Forte and KEdrick. Forte was a troubled player who ended up in jail last time I knew. KEdrick is a project who has been working on his game and has talent. I think you guys are silly. YEah lets rush out and sign a dime a dozen name pg like GP which I have no problem with but you knock a player with actual upside. Do you know how many pgs in the league today can do what GP does? He is washed up and I was not impressed with him at all in his time here. He'd be fine for what we need but I don't understand the urgency why we must sign him.

I listed names like Carroll, Barnes, Azubuike, Moore, Moon are all actual contributers in the league and are 3 times the player GP is at this stage in his career.. If Kedrick comes back in the league and does well. I'm not saying he will because I haven't seen him but to throw this aside and talk up GP is silly.
