CG Award 12/16 vs. Raptors

Who says the Celtics aren't for real?!?...Just beat down our biggest competition for the Divison without Ray Ray and now we're 3-0 agaisnt them!...



Rondo- 14pts 4ast 7/12FGS--had a very nice game..was aggressive for the most part driving and finishing nicely..HIT SOME JUMPERS!!! especially one at the end of the 3rd quarter, thought it was a great game from him..helped Ford wasn't playing

Pierce- 18pts 6reb. 4ast. 7/17FGS-- Put the team on his shoulders for that first quarter abusing Moon but fell of a bit in the 4th quarter tho he did hit some shots at the end to seal the deal..

Garnett- 16pts 8reb. 6ast- 8/18FGS-- Nice game from Garnett on defense and offense..helped keep the team going when we were letting them come back for a little bit..

Allen- 10pts 5reb 4/9FGS Great on defense again and made some 3's!!! not yet back to the old jumping out of the arena allen yet though..

Perkins 4pts 5reb 2/3FGs Didn't play much but had a great block on Bosh..

House- 11pts 2ast 2reb 4/8FGS...huge 3 point shots nothing much else to say..

Posey- 10pts 7reb 2/6FGS...huge job on defense taking charges, blocking, and stealing..all of his shots were 3 pointers..

Baby- 5pts 5 fouls 2/3FGS..just in foul trouble


I'm going to give my vote to Rondo because he completly shut down Calderon when he was hot lately and Rondo took complete advantage of the fact that NOBODY could stay with him..Made some great drives and some contested jumpers..Could've gone to Pierce or Garnett but i'm going with Rondo because he put his body out on the floor today!..

I chose KG for his leadership and ability to keep the rest of the team in the game and focused on building and keeping the lead.

Okay Greeniacs...RunRondo and I were talking about a player of the game award idea called the CGAward for the player who gets the most Green Points (sorta like Tommy Points) each game. So come on and vote please. It loosk kinda pathetic if we do not participate. Otherwise, we'll have to forget about the idea and that wouldn't be too friendly of us. It only takes a second.

This is a great idea. I voted for Paul Pierce in the first innaugeral CG award. Just for the record. I just think it's fitting that Paul Pierce should get it because he's paul pierce.

LOL! Well I dont think P2 was the player of this game. But that is how the voting goes!

Well it was between Pierce and Garnett for me, with Rondo being hte darkhorse, but I went with Pierce because it was a close call. Pierce was the guy who set the tone early and sealed it at the end. He got the vote for having seniority and he showed his celtic colors imo this game and is deserving of the award.

You got me there, P2 certainly was a spark for the team. I liked that Rondo got his, but if we are going by how many times a player got a CG Point during the game, I think KG got this one. However, the popular thing these days is to give KG all the attention and so maybe P2 does deserve it.
