He has been very efficient from beyond the arc and his defense off the bench is key. He keeps the energy up with the second unit. Rebound. The Bulls are 6th in the NBA in rebounds and 1st in offensive rebounds. The Celtics need to concentrate on boxing out and beating the Bulls to the boards. 2. Energy for 48 Minutes. In several games the Celtics have either started out strong and then fizzled, losing big leads or they have come out sluggish and just barely pulled out the win. The Celtics need to play hard for 48 minutes and build a lead and keep it. 3. Defense. The Bulls can hurt you both inside and out. Perk will need to keep Wallace out of the paint and off the boards. The Celtics will also need to defend on the perimeter as the Bulls have several weapons from the outside as well. Game Notes Both teams are playing in the second of back to back games and both had to travel to get to the game. The Celtics had an easy game against the Raptors and the starters all played 28 minutes or less in the game. The Bulls won a tight game against Detroit with their starters having to play big minutes. Heinrich played 42 minutes, Deng played 38 minutes and Wallace played 36 miinutes. The Celtics could run them and make fatigue a factor in this game. As stated above, the Bulls are a very good rebounding team. Over their last 5 games they have out rebounded their opponents 247-178 overall and 85-45 on the offensive end. The Celtics are going to have to work hard to grab rebounds or the Bulls will kill us on second chance points. The Celtics lead the Bulls 101-83 in the all time series between these two teams but the Bulls have won the last 8 games between them. The Bulls have started out slowly but they are a dangerous team. They beat the Pistons in Detroit and are capable of beating any team, including the Celtics, on any given night. The Celtics will need to bring their A-game to win this one. |

Bulls win the tip. Hinrich hits a 3 from the top of the arc. PP misses a 3. Bulls rebound. Gordon hits a jumper. Rondo misses a jumper. Perk is called for a foul on the rebound. Smith misses inside and PP rebounds. Celtics turn it over. Perk called for his second foul as he tries to prevent a layup. Big Baby comes in for Perk. Gordon hits the first misses the second. KG rebounds. KG misses a jumper. Wallace grabs the weak side rebound. Wallace misses a layup and rebound goes out of bounds off Wallace. RA hits a 3. Deng misses a jumper and Davis rebounds. KG misses a jumper and Bulls rebound. Gordon misse a jumper and rebound goes out off Wallace. Davis takes it to the hoop and is fouled by Smith. Tommy admitted that it wasn't a good call because Smith had all ball. I think that may be the first time Tommy has ever disagreed with a call for us. Davis makes both FTs. Bulls lose the handle and RA chases it down. He gtets the ball to a cutting Pierce for a layup. Hinrich hits a floater in the lane. Rondo takes Hinrich off the dribble and drives down the lane for a layup. Wallace misses a layup and Davis rebounds. Rondo called for a foul. Gordon with a travel. KG called the travel before the refs. KG hits a jumper from the corner. Smith misses but Gordon is there for the rebound and put back. KG hits a jumper on the baseline. Hinrich misses a jumper and Davis rebounds. Rondo hits a jumper. Time out with Celtics up 15 -10 and 5:19 left in the first.

Pierce called for a foul. Bulls inbound on the side. Noah is in on KG. Gordon misses a jumper and KG rebounds. RA misses a jumper and Noah rebounds. Bulls miss and Noah keeps the rebound alive. Hinrich misses a 3. Rondo takes the rebound over Noah. PP misses a 3. KG rebounds. Pierce's pass to Davis is too hard and Celtics turn it over. Wallace misses and a jump ball is called on the rebound. Wallace wins the tip and Deng hits a jumper. Rondo's shot is rejected by Wallace. Deng quickly gets up the floor and misses a jumper. Celtics rebound. PP misses a 3. Noah rebounds. Gordon's jumper goes half way down and then pops back out. Davis with a layup after a nice fake. Gordon hits a jumper. PP drives to the basket and misses a layup. Davis gets the rebound but loses it and Bulls quickly get back and Gordon hits a jumper. KG goes baseline and lays it down for Davis who lays it in. Noah was all by himself and thought about the shot. He looks to pass but no one is open so he takes the shot and it is way off. Celtics rebound. PP takes it into the paint and is fouled. Time out with 37 seconds left and Celtics up 19-16

Pierce hits both FTs Gordon takes it to the hoop and misses a layup but draws the foul on Davis. He hits both FTs. House brings the ball up. No pressure in the back court from the Bulls. PP called for an offensive foul. Not a good call by the refs. Rondo comes in for Pierce. Gordon misses a jumper at the buzzer. Score at the end of one is Boston 21 and Chicago 18

Celtics inbound to start the 2nd. RA, Posey, House, Davis and Tony on the court. Defensive 3 seconds on the Bulls. RA hits the T. Posey hits a jumper. Nociani misses a jumper off the catch. Davis rebounds. RA splts the defense and takes it hard to the basket and is fouled by Sefolosha. RA hits both FTs. Hinrich hits a jumper. Posey's 3 rattels in and out. and Tony gets the rebound and is fouled. He misses the first. Hits the second. Tony with some back court pressure as Hinrich brings the ball up. Posey called for a foul on Wallace under the basket. Posey hears the boos from the crowd. Wallace misses the first and hits the second. Posey misses a 3 and Wallace rebounds. Bulls turn it over. Celtics turn it right back over on the other end. Celtics have 6 turnovers to 3 for the Bulls. Nociani hits inside. Posey hits a 3. Nociani hits a jumper. Tony loses the handle and Celtics turn it over yet again. Posey playing good D on Nociani. House pokes at the ball and Nociani recovers. He spins and drives baseline to the hoop and is called for an offensive foul. Time out with 8:03 left in the half and Boston up 30-25

Celtics lose the ball. RA dives to the floor to get the loose ball but he throws it away. Posey with a block but a foul is called. KG and Perk come back in. Hinrich hits both FTs. House misses from the corner and Bulls rebound. Deng takes it across the lane and hits a runner over Tony and is fouled. Deng's FT ties the game at 30. 7 nothing run for the Bulls. Celtics turn it over for the 8th time. Rondo comes in for House. Ball is knocked out of bounds. Bulls inbound with 9 sec on the clock. Smith misses off the catch. rondo rebounds under the basket. RA drives down the lane and is fouled by Hinrich, his first. RA hits both FTs. Celtics pressing in the back court. Smith hits a jumper. Tony back rims a jumper and Bulls rebound. Deng misses a jumper. Smith gets the O rebound. Deng hits a jumper and is fouled. Time out with Bulls up 34-32 and 5:40 left in the half

It was Gordon who was fouled and not Deng. Gordon hits the FT. Rondo drives into the lane and kicks it out to an open RA for a 3. Smith hits a jumper. KG passes off to Rondo who misses a layup. Bulls rebound. Deng quickly hits a jumper. Rondo hits on a nice feed from KG. Bulls turn it over. Rondo walks it up the court. He then blows by the defender and takes it to the hoop and lays it in. Perk with a block. PP tries to lay it down to Perk but it is knocked out by Bulls. Celtics inbound with 14 on the SC. Perk works on Wallace and lays it in. Bulls miss and PP rips down the rebound. RA misses a layup and Smith rebounds. Smith misses a layup and there is a whistle on the rebound. Time out with Celtics up 41 - 38 and 2:34 left n the half

RA misses a jumper Wallace rebounds. Smith hits a jumper in the paint. KG hits a jumper from about 18 ft. Hinrich hits a 3 from the corner. Rondo takes it up the floor in a hurry and gets a layup. KG with a block. Bulls miss again and PP grabs the ebound in traffic. Perk gets the ball inside and lays it in. Gordon misses Bulls rebound. Deng misses and Perk rebounds at the buzzer. Score at the half is Celtics 47 and Bulls 43

Perk is called for a foul. Smith hits both FTs. PP hits a baseline jumper. Deng misses a hook shot in the lane and KG rebounds over Wallace. PP with a wrap around pass to Perk who is fouled. Picking up KG hitting a jumper on the baseline. Celtics up 54-48. Hinrich misses inside and Celtics rebound. RA misses a jumper and Gordon rebounds. Bulls miss and Davis rebounds. Rondo goes to the hoop and misses a layup. Wallace rebounds. Gordon misses and Celtics rebound. PP tries to lay it down in traffic and turns it over. Smith hits a hook shot in the lane. Smith called for a blocking foul. Celtics inbound. PP back rims a jumper. Davis rebounds. RA drives to the hoop and lays it down but loses it. Bulls turn it over. Bulls inbound and bring it up against pressure by Rondo. Bulls turn it over. Foul on Smith away from the ball. Celtics inbound on the side. Celtics turn it over. Wallace misses and Davis rebounds. Rondo hits a jumper from behind the FT line. Gordon misses a 3 and KG tips the rebound to Rondo. PP called for an offensive foul. Deng misses but rebound goes out of bounds off PP and KG. Bulls get a fresh 24. KG with a big block but a foul is called. Bulls miss and Celtics rebound. Celtics with a 24 second violation. Posey comes in for KG. Wallace gets a put back on a Gordon miss. Rondo splits the defense and finds RA in the corner for a 3. PP with a steal. He takes it all the way to the hoop and is fouled by Gordon. PP hits both FTs. Duhon drives baseline and passes to Wallace for a dunk. Rondo kicks to Posey who misses a 3 but Davis grabs the rebound and lays it in. Nociani with a strong move to the hoop and plows over 2 players for a layup. Rondo takes it to the hoop for a layup. Blocking foul called on Big Baby. Time out with Celtics up 67-56 and 1:48 left in the 3rd

Again it looked like an offensive foul but no call. RA misses and Nociani rebounds. Duhon takes it to the hoop and draws a foul on Davis. House comes in for Rondo. He hits the first and misses the second. Davis rebounds. PP drives to the hoop and is fouled. He hits both FTs. Nociani misses a long 3 and Celtics rebound. Celtics hold for the final shot and PP misses a jumper at the buzzer. Score at the end of 3 is Celtics 69 and Bulls 59

Bulls miss outside and Posey rebounds. 8 second violation as the Celtics don't get it across in time. KG back in for Boston as Big Baby sits down. Nociani hits a 3. Lead is down to 5. Nocioni called for a foul tripping up Pierce. Celtics inbound on the side with 14 on the SC. Posey hits a 3 as the SC winds down. KG blocks Nocioni's shot in the paint. Nocioni called for his 4th foul as he pulls down KG. Time out with Celtics up 72-64 and 8:41 left in the 4th.

Great play by Posey on the baseline as he passes around the defender to RA for a layup Deng hits a jumper. KG called for travelling. Posey breaks up the pass. Bulls inbound with 19 on the SC. Bulls miss a jumper and there is a scramble for the loose ball. PP chases it but Bulls come up with it. Deng gets a put back of a Gordon miss. PP misses a 3. Gordon misses and Deng rebounds and is fouled by Posey. Deng hits both FTs. KG gets the ball inside from Rondo and is fouled. Celtics inbound on the side. RA misses a 3 and Bulls rebound.
