Making him work on the defensive end could help to get him into foul trouble. vs Perk should be able to keep Dalembert off the boards as well as limiting his effectiveness in the paint. Keys to the Game 1. Defense, both in the paint and on the perimeter 2. Ball movement 3. Limit turnovers 4. Don't play down to their level 5. Guard Kyle Korver beyond the arc Game Notes. The Sixers are struggling and just had a shake up in management with Billy King being fired. The Celtics come into this game well rested and with a practice on Tuesday to iron out a few things. Lately, they have been playing down to their competition but hopefully they will come in and put this team away quickly.

I would hope so, they took the Cavs lightly. They need to come in and get a big lead early so that the big 3 can sit in the 4th quarter.

Sixers win the tip. Pierce with a block Sixers inbound with 9 on the shot clock.Iguodala hits a step away jumper. Rondo misses a jumper. Sixers rebound Miller takes it baseline and lays it in. RA hits a 3 off the catch. Alley oop to Iguldala is too high. Celtics rebound. RA misses a 3 and Perk fights for the rebound underneath and saves it to RA . Perk hits a hook shot in the paint. Sixers miss a jumper and Rondo comes up with the rebound. KG takes it to the hoop and misses. Sixers rebound and quickly get a layup at the other end. KG tries to move in but is blocked by Dalembert. He steps back and hits a jumper. Miller hits a jumper. Perk with a good pick to allow PP to hit an open jumper. Miller hits a jumper. Rondo takes the ball down the paint and lays it in. Evns misses Dalembert rebounds. Perk knocks it away but Philly scrambles for it. Celtics called for a foul. Sixers inbound on the side. Miller misses. Evans rebounds and has it stripped by Rondo. Perk gets the ball inside ans lays it in. Perk called for a foul. Dalembert hits both FTs. KG brings the ball up the court as Sixers deny Rondo the ball. Dalembert called for a foul on the baseline. Celtics inbound on the side. KG front rims a jumper. Sixers rebound. Miller hits a jumper. Perk hits a hook shot in the lane. Miller hits a jumper from the FT line. RA misses a 3 Sixers rebound. KG shuts off Dalembert but he passes inside to Miller for a layup. Rondo gets the ball inside to KG. Time out with Philly up 18-17 and 4:32 left in the first quarter

Sixers inbound on the side. Iguodala hits a short jumper. House comes in for Rondo. PP misses a jumper and Sixers rebound. House is called for a foul on Miller. He misses the first FT. Big Baby comes in for KG. Miller hits the second FT. Sixers extending the defensive pressure into the back court. PP draws the double team and passes inside to Perk for a layup. Miller with another jumper. RA hits a jumper off the screen. Iguodala hits a step back jumper from the top of the key. House takes it down the lane and hits a finger roll. Evans has it stripped on the way to the basket. Time out with 2:11 left in the first and Philly up 25-23

Evans gets inside for a dunk. RA kicks it out to House who hits a 3 off the catch. Smith takes it down the lane for a dunk. Philly is shooting 81%. Our defense hasn't shown up yet. RA misses and rebound is tipped out of bounds by Philly. Celtics inbound with 8 on the SC. POsey misses at the SC. Rebound goes off Davis out of bounds. Korver misses a layup and rebound goes out of bounds. Sixers inbound with 3 on the SC. Iguodala hits a 3 from the corner off the inbounds pass. House misses a 3. Big Baby gets the rebound but loses it out of bounds to the Sixers. Smith misses a jumper at the buzzer. Score at the end of 1 is Sixers 32 and Celtics 26. The Celtics started out very sluggish and are playing no defense. I sure hope they get it together soon or this one could be ugly.

Scal, Posey, House, RA, and Big Baby on the floor. Celtics inbound to start the second. Celtics miss and Sixers rebound. Miller hits a short jumper. Big Baby is fouled. He hits the first. Tony Allen checks in for the Celtics. He hits the second. Williams takes it to the hoop for a layup. Green fouls Tony. Celtics inbound on the side. Rondo and PP back in for Boston. Posey with a nice pass inside for a layup by Rondo. Sixers turn it over. Posey misses and rebound goes out of bounds off Tony. Sixers turn it over. Tony drives to the hoop and draws a foul on Williams. Tony misses the first and hits the second. Williams hits a 3 from the corner. There is a whistle and Celtics turn it over. KG comes in for Davis. Dalembert gets the ball inside and KG is called for a foul. Time out with Sixers up 41-31 and 8:54 left in the half Still no defense

Dalembert hits the FT to complete the 3 point play. PP goes inside and kicks out to Tony for a 3. Green misses in the paint and Tony rebounds. Tony turns it over with a bad pass out of bounds. iguodala misses a 3 Posey rebounds. PP misses a jumper and Sixers reebounds. Sixers miss and and Tony tracks down the rebound. Tony with a bad pass and Rondo fouls Iguodala hard as he goes to the basket. Rondo helps Iggy up. Iggy misses the first and hits the second. KG gets into the lane and hits a jumper. Green hits a jumper. Tony with a good pass to Posey who dunks. Sixers miss and KG rebounds. Tony gets to the hoop and misses a layup. Green takes it hard to the hoop and lays it in. KG misses a turn around jumper and draws the foul on Dalembert. Time out with Sixers up 47-38 and 5:30 left in the half. Still no defense.

KG at the line KG hits both FTs. Rondo with some pressure in the back court. Green misses and Iguodala rebounds. Dalembert with a dunk on a feed from Iggy. KG misses and tips the rebound twice before grabbing it. RA drives down the lane and is fouled. He hits both FTs. Korver has it stripped in the lane and Rondo gets it out to Posey who takes it strong to the hoop and lays it in. Miller misses but Dalembert is there for the tip in. rondo misses a jumper on the baseline. Sixers rebound. Sixers turn it over. Posey misses a jumper. Green rebounds. Time out with 2:53 left in the half and Sixers up 51-44

Picking up with 2:02 left in the half Sixers up 54-44. Miller at the line. Miller hits the FT. KG drives baseline and powers up a shot that bounces around the rim and then falls in. He draws the foul on Smith. KG misses the FT. Evans rebounds. Iguodala hits a tough shot at the SC. Pierce cuts down the lane and gets a pass from KG and lays it in off the glass. Celtics deflect it out with 8 on the SC. Perk called for a push on the baseline trying to prevent a layup by Evans. Evans misses both FTs. rebound goes out off Sixers. Tony brings the ball up . PP splits the defenders and drives down the lane for a layup. Iggy throws the ball away. Celtics inbound with 23.1 left in the half, Tony holding up top for the final shot. Tony drives down the lane and misses a layup. KG grabs the rebound and dunks. Tony comes up limping. Sixers inbound with 3.8 in the half. Green gets the shot off but it is short. Score at the half is Sixers 57 and Celtics 52.

Celtics turn it over. Miller misses and Perk rebounds. RA hits a 3 from the top of the arc. Iggy misses a step back jumper. JUmp ball called on the rebound. Perk wins the tip. PP hits a jumper. Time out with Celtics up 59-57 and 9:44 left in the 3rd. Much better energy by the Celtics to start the 3rd

See, FL, when you play defense and rebound you can discourage the lesser team and erase the Philly short lead. Boston 7, Philly 0.... Guess they got the memo that somebody was watching them
