A question for Greeniacs--who's the better three point shooter: JJ or Salim.
JJ is the sharp shooter from Duke and Salim Stoudemire is the Arizona Wildcats' marksmen.
I'd like to hear your thoughts. I have mine already, but before I jot them down, I'd like to hear what you guys think.

Just the way he is fearless, he doesnt hesitate at all in his motion the few times ive seen Red-ick, he sets he waits htne he pulls the trigger and shoots every once and a while. And while that maybe fine in the NCAA games, that slight pause in his motion in the NBA will allow defenders to get a hand in his face. Stoudemire while maybe not the better pure shooter, I havent seen him have that hesitation when taking it, he takes it whether or not he makes it, he at least gives the guys a chance to get a rebound rather than what I think would be a deflected shot in the NBA. Maybe he takes his time because he knows he can in the ACC, but I just think if he does that next year it wont be such a good % for him.

I'd have to choose JJ Redick, his stroke is just so pure, if you give him any opening he'll drain it, it's amazing. Salim's definitely a great shooter as well, you couldn't go wrong with either one, but from what i've been able to watch it seems like JJ does it more consistently (although i don't know what the numbers look like on this one)

Question (Cesco): salim stoudamire is really impressing me in that arizona game (i still think red-ick is the better shooter-see that other thread) but i like stoudamire's game, what do you think of him derren?
I don't really care for Salim Stoudemire or his game. He can't create for himself and he needs to have good positioning to get his shot off. His athleticism is very skeptical and other than his three point shooting, his game is very limited. His shot is very awkward also. He shoots the ball while positioning his feet and torso at the 10 o'clock position (while your head is facing the 12 o'clock position). But when he gets hot, this guy can't miss. Very dangerous streak scorer.
I like JJ Red-ick a lot more. Not that I think JJ is such an amazing prospect, but when comparing the 2, JJ is more versatile and not just a three point shooting threat. JJ is a smarter basketball player and he makes better judgements on whether to pull the trigger on the three or drive it in (though not all the time). He's also shown me that he's a better slasher and penetrator than Salim--but he's not all that good at it either. So that tells you what I think of Salim's slashing and penetrating game.
JJ is much better coming off of curls and getting his shot off on picks, and that's essential for a three point shooter. Salim doesn't work the curls that well and I have yet to see him give it 100% effort.
I give my nod to JJ over Salim.
