House has been as good as advertised. Posey is a lock down defender. Davis, if the Celtics win the championhip, I will "salute him mother-!@#$".

I just thought I'd break down the bench minutes so far just for the hell of it. Posey and House continue to provide a solid 1-2 punch off hte bench getting 10+ pts per game over the last several. WIth a little baby and TA mixed in.
Posey 21 mpg 8 pts 4 rebs House 20 mpg 8 pts, 2 3's TA 13 mpg 4 pts, 2 rebs Davis 10 mpg 4 pts 3 rebs Scal 10 mpg 2 pts, 2 rebs Pollard 7 mpg 2 pts, 2 rebs Powe 4 mpg 3 pts, 1 reb
The good thing is these guys numbers and minutes have been going up over the past several games. The more we blow out teams, the more minutes the bench gets. The more rested our starters will be. It's good all around. We head into the playoffs winning games with out bench playing major minutes in the 2nd half of games it's going to be a good thing.
We still have Pruitt and Wallace as well....
I think if we make a move around the deadline it will be to shore up the bench to give us a really solid 9 or 10 man rotation. but we are coming along well as it is. There's probably no need for that. With Posey, House and TA, Davis and Pollard coming along and Scal, Powe and Pruitt in cameo appearances, we are getting really solid play.

I could see us swapping TA nd Powe for someone like Zo. It works in the trade checker too. TA and Powe aren't really getting time here and Zo would be a stopper for us in the middle for the short term. It does almost make too much sense. although I'd hate giving up those guys.
The thing is Miami isn't out of it, but they pretty much are, and they really dont need zo anymore. They don't need Shaq either. They might be smart to rebuild. We could throw scal, ta, powe, pollard, etc at them for shaq or Zo reallly. Shaq we'd be hardpressed to get without giving up picks and other young players which we shouldnt. Plus Shaq has become kind of a blob these days and i dont know if we really want him. but on a team like this he'd be pretty good probably. I'd rather Zo though in all honesty. he'd come at a cheaper price and be what we need.
We'd have 6 big guys inGarnett, Perk, Zo, Pollard, Baby and Scal who we can throw at Duncan and we'd be set.

Perkins hasnt proved anything. Zo is still a better player and he would belong in the starting lineup. I think we shouldve signed Charles Oakley to come in and do the dirty work. He also couldve taught Perkins alot. Instead we gave that James Posey too much money. They should trade him, I dont like having a [deleted by admin] player on the team. Umm, yeah or something.

Do you like the celtics? or actually watch them?..Now i agree that Zo would be a great addition though there's a big problem in actually how to get them..but Posey has been outstanding don't know what you've been seeing..We trade Posey and we take a huge loss defensively and offensively off the bench and in the 4th quarter

You are right RunRondo. Its all well and good to say ZO is better than Perk, but how about suggesting ways to get Zo.

I think the bench is better than people think. Also I hope Ray Allen stays out another couple weeks. I saw what happened last year with Wally's ankles and it was a nightmare. I also remember when Al J lost a season cause he fudged up his

I think its good to rest RAllen for a while and give TAllen a chance to get his game back on track. It seems to be working--he looks like he's getting more comforable out there, and for the first time this season (against the Raptors), Tony looked focus for most of the game.
Last season, when Tony got comfortable and was focused, his game exploded. Seems like he's starting to come around to being that player again.
Don't forget what I said about putting RAllen on the bench as our star 6th Man. If Tony can get his game back 100%, I would slide Tony into the starting five and make Ray our instant offensive machine off the bench. Can you imagine Ray licking his chops against opposing team's backups? And Tony's defense added into the starting lineup would give us a tremendous defensive unit to start the game (KG, Perk, Tony, and Rajon--wow!!).

Yeah giving Ray Ray a rest rest has been a great idea to let him get his ankle back since he sprained it during the Bobcats game. Apparently he never told Ed Lacerte or anyone about it! He just manned up and played thru it. LeBron sprained a finger and was out 6 games!! Anyway, according to the news articles that FL posted, they wanted to rest Ray despite his chomping at the bit and STILL doing his pregame shoot around routine!! This guy has the work ethic of all the great Celts past. And you know I am on board with your idea of putting Ray on the bench as a 6th man. If Tony can keep giving us the D and 10ppg, this idea could totaly be productive. It looks like we'll have a deadly combo in The Allens. The second unit would really be an offensive threat and with Posey, Baby, and House also being great defenders this team has it all!

It just makes sense to, at least, try it. This way, Pierce and KG can get their offense going. Plus, TAllen gives us more versatility than Ray and that should benefit our starting 5.

Putting Allen on the bench is similiar to what the Spurs do with Ginobli..Ginobli is their 6th man and averaging 20ppg on the bench..I think it's a great idea..

Provides an opportunity for T Allen. Also, possible trade bait as well.
