sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AjiSZU3_xkJRCu9z5_.cUG6kvLYF?slug=ornotthecelticsareoverra&prov=tsn&type=lgnsThis is a bit dated but I like how he said he was looking forward to the lakers game, and saying how much better kobe is than Garnett. What happened there buddy? So far our most lopsided wins have come against western conference competition in the Nuggets, Lakers and Warriors. I agree the Mavs, Jazz and Spurs are tougher but imo the east is a lot tougher this year. The Raptors, Charlotte and Orlando are the only teams that have given us a game and they are tough "eastern conference" teams.

The eastern conference also has Milwaulkee who just finished up beating on Dallas, The Lakers, Cleveland and Memphis. They are no joke. We have Detroit, Cleveland. New Jersey and improved HAwks and Indy teams. Miami and Chicago are the two worst teams in the eastern conference right now. That just shows how tough the eastern conference is this year. The west has teams like Sac and Minny and Seattle and Portland which are basically our versions of Philly and the knicks
Lets break it down
Boston vs San Antonio Orlando vs Dallas Detroit vs Utah Cleveland vs Phoenix Toronto vs Houston NJ vs the Lakers Milwaulkee vs New Orleans Washington(with Arenas) vs Denver Charlotte vs Golden St Atlanta vs Memphis Chicago vs Clippers Indy vs Portland Miami vs Sac Knicks vs Minny Philly vs Seattle
I think the East is just as strong. the east has more upside if Chicago and Miami ever get going.... The West has the clippers, Sac and Memphis who are underachieving due to injuries, etc as well... Washington, Charlotte and Atlanta can basically be flip flopped with the likes of Denver, Memphis and GS imo.... Arenas is out and dwayne wade is back so WAshington may fade and Miami will probably come on. Fact is people need to stop playing the whole the west is better card, because it's not.

I just sent that moron this email.... sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AjiSZU3_xkJRCu9z5_.cUG6kvLYF?slug=ornotthecelticsareoverra&prov=tsn&type=lgns- "I'm really looking forward to Friday night's Celtics-Lakers game in Boston. Bryant is better, hands down, than Garnett, Pierce or Allen, and he and LeBron James (who gets the C's in Cleveland on Nov. 27) are probably the only players in the league who could dare try to match the Big Three shot for shot in a fourth quarter and possibly get away with it. You just know Kobe wants that notch on his belt." That one came back to bite you on the !!!GREENIAC!!! wouldn't ya say? LOL! - "And I just know the Celtics are overrated right now. They're the best in a bad Eastern Conference, that's all. And sure as the Red Sox outclassed the Rockies, the C's will be outclassed by a West power -- if they wind up making it that far." Umm, make that 11-1...and counting. LMAO! Looking forward to your next article where you eat crow and give the Celtics and their Big 3 the credit they deserve. Also, Posey and House have been decent bench players in some of our wins. With Scal, Pollard and Allen also adding what was needed from them. Cordially, Loy

Fact is, Teh balance of power is shifting with Garnett and Allen and players like Jrich and RAshard Lewis coming east. Last year the West was strong with teams like GS surprising but Charlotte is going to be that in the east this year. Only 8 teams make it and some good teams like NJ and Chicago and Miami, and WAshington might be on the outside looking in. Teams like Orlando and Milwaulkee are much improved and their young stars are starting to pay off. Same with Toronto. The west hasn't really gotten better outside of New Orleans and Memphis could be improved this year. Utah is stronger and more experienced. Last year Cleveland was the best team in the east. This year they are probably 3rd or 4th. Soem people are stuck on the whole the west is the best thing and that isn't the case this year...... The west might be a step better, but I don't even know about that. We will see come finals and playoff time.

You make some really good points and are completely right. Another thing to add is that these idiots keep using the past as a predictor of what the future holds. And thats not to say that the past cannot be used as a guide to guess a trend to come. However, what these poeple fail to realize is that Boston is 90% different this year than last year. If this were a healthy squad for 82 games last year, we may have made the playoffs. It's not like last years team was so horrible. But the improvement this year is that we are a powerhouse prepared to compete with any team in the West including the Suns and Spurs. If you look at both those teams they have 3 players that are stars and a supporting cast. We actually match up extremely well with the Spurs IMO. I think I may be more worried about the Suns. After all they have Barbosa and Nash is the best PG in the L.

What is funny is this guy is saying the celtics are overrated when they are 11-1 in a year where there are a ton of talented and good teams and a ton of good players in the league. The league is really strong this eyar and is only going to get stronger when a lot of these young guys really start living up to their potential. We are just scraping the surface on some of these guys. Any team that is 11-1 has earned it. That guys a moron.

Well I emailed him and I hope he responds because I think he realizes now, especially after the Fakers game, that the C's are not overrated. In fact most teams fans underrate us. Its only some in the media that really see us for what we are. Its good to know everyone is talking about our team again and is concerned about our rating! LOL!

Well we don't play the big teams in the west until january, february. mar so i guess we'll have to be overrated until then.
Utah Dec 29 Houston Jan 2 Dallas Jan 31 SA Feb 10 Phoenix Feb 22 Utah Mar 14 SA Mar 17 Dallas Mar 20 Phoenix Mar 26
That's it. We should more be concentrating on getting uot of the east, but it will be fun, and the end of our schedule is pretty tough. If I were the C's, it's articles like that, that I would pin up in the lockerroom just for a little extra motivation. It still makes me laugh every time I read it.

I love how he stops at Denver, not because we were up by 40 at the end of the 1st half ,but bcause they are a good team that could implode.
"I stop before including the Nuggets because, as good as they look, there's still a ton of time left for them to implode" Did this guy even watch the game we played them?
Kobe Bryant is hands down better than Garnett. This guy is hilarious.
"And I just know the Celtics are overrated right now. They're the best in a bad Eastern Conference, that's all. And sure as the Red Sox outclassed the Rockies, the C's will be outclassed by a West power -- if they wind up making it that far."
Might as well finish off your massive dump of an article with a big crappy finish. This guy doesn't know what class is writing garbage like that.

That guy writes like some of the trolls on those "other" message boards. Of course he'll dismiss the Denver game. Of course now that we beat the Lakers he'll hide under his desk and wont respond to my email because he knows he wrote uninformed garbage because he is obviously a Lakers fan or something. That article did end really bad. It's like he rushed it out to publish or something. I could even write better than that.
