Pruitt Shines in Flash Win

The Utah Flash got their first franchise win behind the play of Gabe Pruitt. He finished with 31 points (including the game winner with 3.9 seconds to go), 3 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot along with only 2 turnovers in 40 minutes of play.

Brandon Wallace also played well with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 block in 39 minutes.

Former Celtic Kedrick Brown was playing for the Anaheim Arsenal.

Pruitt is a man amongst boys. I think this just goes to show that he isnt that far away. I think he is one guy that will make an impact for us later in the season.

I agree. I think Gabe will make a meaningful contribution later in the season, much in the same way Gomes did in his rookie season.

The 8 assists is the stat that really stands out for me, thats good news, the 31 points is nice but we really don't need him to become a top scoring option just a change of pace PG behind Rondo.

I actually think we need his shooting, more than his passing. We need scoring outside of our Trilogy. Ball movement only works when guys are hitting open shots.

I really like Gabe Pruitt. I am an avid fan of college hoops and I followed him because I knew he would make a good NBA player. I hope that the Celtic's give him a chance. I think that after a couple years in the NBDL he will develop into the player I think he should be.

I watched him at USC and thought he was too nice (which led me to think he was too soft to succeed in the NBA). Hope he proves me wrong.
