We are 5-0, and doesn't seem like we are about to slow down any time soon. So out of curiosity, who do you think will give us our 1st loss of the season?
Next 5 games:
Tues: @ IND (3-3) Wed: vs. NJ (4-2) Fri: vs. MIA (1-5) Sun: @ ORL (5-2) Wed: vs. GSW (0-5)

Indy will be one hell of a challenge, they are playing well and are tough on the defensive side of the ball. If it's not Indy I think it will be NJ during the rematch.

Iverson said the Celtics will NOT go undefeated this season, and of course he's right, although that's a heck of a compliment. Agreed the Indiania game should again be a very good game and should be a tough test to the mini run the Celts have going, but even without my green glasses I see a win there due to our outside firepower and stingy and tough defence. Hopefully, the T.O. ratio will continue to be more favorable than in earlier games this season, as well playing hardnosed aggressive defence will always lead to flirting with foul trouble, and this is where the bench is going to have to step up and share meaningfulminutes while contribuiting without a drop off in scoring production, as has been the case in each of these previous wins.
N.J. should be a good game. However, with the loss of Carter I don't think N.J. really has the firepower to match up over four quarters.
Golden State actually looks to be the next real test of these next 5 games, presupposing a win at Indiania...IMO
Of course, as we all know sometimes, everything seems to go against a given team and on a given night anyone can loose. However, over the 4 quarters as a whole, I have been pleasently suprised how these Celtics can play through their offensive droughts with the ball just not falling, and with their defense seemingly not allowing lack of scoring to dig themselves a hole.
I'm somewhat amazed, we haven't yet have had to come back from lets say, 15 down. Which is something I feel this team is capable of doing, but nobody yet has gone up by more than, what, 5 IIRC?
I'm sure the losses will come, but probably in a close game. However, even then I like our chanses with the last shot in those games...
Not wanting to overlook any team or be disrespectful of the effort it takes to win those games presupposed, I think G.S. will give the greatest test of the next 5 games, to this teams young season together. But realistically, I know the next loss is always possible with the next game played. Fun speculating though, and OMG is this team fun to watch as to how they have continued to accomplished these wins so far... <Big Grins>

Loss or no loss, this team is going to the Finals.

Wow, Indiana's defense was our biggest challenge to date. We did not look comfortable, or in rhythm at all in this game. But I liked what I saw--I saw a team battle through a tough defense and still find ways to score. They were all over Garnett. And Pierce and RAllen didn't have much to work with at all. But all 3 came through at certain parts of the game, and our bench really carried more than their load tonight.
Well, after playing a tough defensive team, we now have to play a back to back against our foe, the Nets. Pierce and RAllen played 40 minutes tonight, and Garnett was at 39. Fatigue might factor in.

My guess is Sunday at Orlando - The Magic are kicking butt right now along with us. If we get a win at Orlando, the C's might well go undefeated in November. That would be very cool, indeed.

Well, some thought the Pacers were going to deliver our 1st loss. Some thought it would be the Nets.
We've taken care of both, on back to back games.
I don't feel that Miami will be the one to do it. Possibly Orlando the game after that--but with the way we are playing (especially on defense), we may beat the record for consecutive wins to start the season. 7 more wins to match the record.

Forget focusing on the first loss. Let's focus on #17.

I'd say Orlando has the best chance of more immediate games coming up. If not either GS or Lakers. We will lose one of those 3. Now if we don't, barring and injury, we will have the ECF wrapped up. Then we just have to go thru the Spurs for #17.

My guess is we'll lose to a team no one expects us to. I remember in 1985-86 of our 15 losses, 10 were to teams with losing records, IIRC. You just can't rise up for all 82 regular season games, but big "test" games are ones our G-P-A will rise up for.

When we do lose our first game, I really hope its to a deserving team, and I hope it goes down to the wire.
I truly hope we don't lose to the Warriors (winless so far), or some other weak team.
