Just curious (and to stir up conversation on a slow day) to know if any of you think there is another player in the NBA who could replace any member of our Trilogy and make us better.
For instance: take out Garnett and replace him with Dirk Nowitzki. Would that make our Trilogy better?

Or take Pierce out and replace him with Michael Redd. Would that make our Trilogy better?

I think... Garnett Marion Allen or Duncan Pierce Allen or Garnett Pierce Ginobili or Garnett Lebron Allen ...would make our team better or at least as good. I really like the 1st one (KG, Matrix, RAllen). I like the 4th one also (KG, Lebron, RAllen). The 2nd one (Duncan, Pierce, RAllen) I'm not so sure about because KG's athleticism and versatility makes our Trilogy click, while Duncan would slow us down a bit. I don't think too much of the 3rd one (KG, Pierce, Ginobli). None of them are quick shooters. I think KG and RAllen make a very good 2/3 of the Trilogy. They balance each other out. I think the last part of the Trilogy is the piece that we can interchange--which ever piece fits the best. Right now, Pierce is fitting in perfectly in some games, and questionable in others. I think the Matrix's athleticism, superb defense, and versatility can really add to where Pierce lacks. But Pierce's ability to score when the pressure is on him is nice, and the Matrix doesn't have that. Having Lebron replace Pierce would be incredible. I think he'd be the absolute best replacement for Pierce. |

Duncan, Garnett, LeBron
That is a combo I think may be better. The only thing they would need is a steady 3 pt shooter to stretch the defense.

Players like Kobe and Lebron could make any team better.

The only players I think would make the team better or at least as good would be Duncan for KG or LeBron for Pierce. Other than that, I wouldn't want to change. I can't stand Kobe and even though he is a talent, he would take away from the team unity and chemitry they have that is going to make this team so dangerous. I like what we have
