Says teammate Kevin Garnett: "I've said that if he's not one of the best point guards in the league in three or four years, I'd be very, very surprised. … He has the quickness of a Tony Parker and the IQ and passing skills of a Jason Kidd."
Woah, this kid could be very special. And to think we got him at #22 because the pick was not in Phoenix' budget.
Man, we could have ECF 4 All-stars this year.
I already am impressed with his court savvy at such a young age. The vision, the understanding of getting the ball to the right player in the right spot. I think he can get that Mid-range jumper and be a top notch PG for many years to come.
Let the sun shine in as the commercial song goes. Order up the Green Rondo.

It's funny I said the other night, think it was during the Toronto game, that Rondo was like a young Parker. Although, I think he is a better shooter than even he gives himself credit for. This year may not be his breakout year, but I am sure next year will be better.

I'm hoping Rondo makes it to the top of the PG list, but I don't think this offensive system caters to his natural talents. I mean, if Chris Paul were here and we made him change his game to fit our system, I don't think he'd be as great as he is.
If there was a stat that monitored time of possession a PG has the ball in his hands, Rondo would be in the middle of the pack.

There is little doubt that a system that favors a transition style of offense would favor his skill set, but I'm not so certain it would favor his overall development. While he develops his peripheral skills at the point he has the ability to defer, but as we saw during the first game of the season that doesn't mean he won't have many opportunities to score and create off the dribble. He will have his opportunities to get out in transition, particularly once the Celtics solidify on the defensive side of the ball, thus creating fast break opportunities off of turnovers. One thing is for sure, Rondo is going to be a nightmare for perimeter defenders in this league.

Yeah, he will have his days to shine. It may not come as regularly as we'd expect from such a talented PG, but it will come.
Take tonight's outrageous win vs. the Nuggets as an example; in a game where we had 32 assists!!!, Rondo (who played the second most minutes) had only 4 assists.
Now, I'm not saying we should ditch our game plan to suit Rondo, but I just don't know if he will ever make an All-Star team with our offense, and with our Trilogy.
