I always knew KG was a great player, but I was in awe of him tonight. I know Bill Russell is the greatest celtic ever and he won 8 championships, but I can't help but think what if KG was in boston for his entire career. Just defensively and offensively as far a big men go, I never realized how good he really is. It's kind of a shame he was stuck in Minny all those years on pretty bad teams. He really when you look at his entire game and I know I might sound crazy but he looks to me like the best big man that has ever played for the CEltics. He is right there. He's only played one game, but there is nothing Garnett can't do and do at a very high level. And he has the perfect attitude to go with it. He is the best player in the NBA and if he doesn't mvp a couple times here before he retires I will be very surprised.

Allen imo was really impressive as well. He is kind of the silent assasin on this team. He's the guy who will be quiet for stretches but he will kill you if you sleep on him. I guarentee Allen is going to have stretches that are very impressive. He hasn't lost a step and appears to be on top of his game as well. I can't think of a better compliment for Pierce and KG. We all know what Allen can do by himself, but I think on this team his role will be different. That's what makes this team so good though. you have a player of Allen's caliber who can do so many things and so many things well in that role and it's a great thing.

Anyways I think this team is going to be really fun to watch. I was left so impressed with these guys tonight. To go with Pierce it's going to be a very exciting run. If we don't win 17 or 18 or whatever I will be shocked. This is an amazing team we have assembled here and I don't care if it's the 80's or the 50's I think this team has the potential to be among the alltime greats. The amazing thing to me is we didn't even play our best basketball tonight and have a lot to improve, but we still won by 20 against one of the better teams in the east.

I've been fortunate enough to watch him play a lot over the lat 10+ years, so you can see why I was freaking out when it was rumored that he was coming here. He's an alltime great, he's a good role model, and he plays the game the right way

That's the thing. How many players with his talent just understand the game and "get it" like he does. He's a beautiful thing. Not just him but Pierce and Allen. These are players that "get it". I understand their frustration the past decade and it's a shame it took this long for them to find each other. I think Pierce has always gotten it. It's juts he can only do so much and give so much. They are all just class players and people and they all love the game. I love this team. Heinsohn said they have the words "team basketball" sewn into the inside of their jerseys. I don't know if he was just saying that metaphorically but if they do, that's awesome.
