Philadelphia has been fairly inactive in the off season and so the majority of these players have been together for a year or more. As with the Nets, the Celtics will have to go through the Sixers if they are to win the conference. The Sixers are winless so far in the preseason but that could make them more dangerous. This is the time of the preseason when coaches experiment with their lineups so, it is possible that the lineups may change. With the Celtics having 4 games in 5 nights, Doc has said that he probably won't play KG, PP, and RA in every game. Or, it is possible that he will start them and then play them fewer minutes. With the starters only playing one quarter against the Nets, they will probably start and play in this game. But this is the time when players are trying to make teams and coaches are looking at players on the bubble so expect to see a lot of the bench in this game. |

Greg Dickerson just announced that KG, Pierce, and Perk will not play tonight. Ray Allen will be playing. Rondo will be playing.

Starting for the Celtics are Posey Powe Scal Rondo Ray Allen. Picking up with 10:20 left in the first and Celtics up 2-0. Posey misses with 2 on the SC and Evans rebounds. Green hits a 3. Scal misses a 3 from the corner and Powe muscles in for the rebound. Rondo back rims a jumper and Evans rebounds. Sixers turn it over. Sixer foul and Celtics inbound on the side. Scal has it stripped as he drives down the lane and Celtics inbound with 2 on the SC. Celtics miss a 3 and Posey rebounds. Celtics miss and Sixers rebound. Green hits a jumper. RA takes it to the hoop and draws the foul. He hits both FTs. Iguodala hits a 3. Rondo takes it hard to the hoop and is fouled hard. Celtics inbound on the side. Rondo takes it to the hoop and lays it in. Korver hits a 3 from the corner. Rondo takes it to the hoop and can't finish. He goes down hard and grabs his elbow but seems to be ok. Miller is fouled and hits both FTs. Rondo takes it to the hoop but can't finish. Sixers rebound. Scal called for a foul. Time out with 6:03 left in the first and Sixers up 13-6

Smith hits both FTs. Sixers pressing. Allen misses from the corner. Sixers rebound. Sixers miss and Scal rebounds. Scal shoots an airball from the top of the arc. RA with a steal. RA spins and hits a tough shot from the top of the key. Smith misses a 3 and Rondo rebounds. He turns it over as he steps out of bounds. Sixers throw it away out of bounds. Rondo hits a jumper. Green hits a 3 from the wing. Time out with Sixers up 18-10 and3:38 left in the first

RA back rims a 3. Powe keeps it alive but Korver comes away with it. Miller is fouled and hits the first. Big Baby checks in for Powe. Tony comes in for Scal. Miller misses the second. Rondo tracks downt he rebound. Rondo called for travelling. Time out with 3:05 left in the first and Sixers up 19-10

Rondo called for a foul, his second. House comes in for Rondo. Tony called for a foul. Team limti and puts Carney on the line. He misses the first. hits the second. Big baby has it stripped inside. Sixers come away with it and Big Baby called for a foul at the other end. Evans at the line hits the first and misses the second. Big Baby rebounds. Travelling called on Big Baby as he spins to the basket in the lane. Big Baby with a block but is called for a foul. Evans hits both FTs. RA misses and Sixers rebound. Young misses a layup. Offensive goal tending called. Celtics inbound on the side. Posey sets a screen and gets the ball right back in the post and lays it in. Sixers miss and Tony called for a foul on the rebound. Carney at the line hits the FTs. House with a nice bounce pass to Davis who takes it hard to the hoop and lays it in and draws the foul. He completes the 3 point play. play is sloppy as there are several scrambles for loose balls and it goes out off Boston. Sixers inbound with 14.4 on the clock. Sixers don't get a shot off. Score at the end of 1 is Sixers 25 and Celtics 15

He hits the first misses the second. Big Baby called for a foul on the rebound. House called for a foul. Ollie at the line hits the first. Posey comes in for Davis. Ollie hits the second. Ollie is pressuring House in the back court as he brings it up. House misses a 3. Scal rebounds. Tony with a nice move to the hoop for 2. Sixers miss. Tony rebounds. Jones hits a jumper from the corner. Posey with a steal. House takes it to the hoop and can't finish. Sixers rebound. Green misses a layup. Rebound goes out off the Celtics. Sixers miss Posey rebounds. Toney takes it down the lane and lays it in. Time out with 9:23 left in the half and Sixers are up 29-22

He hits the first and misses the second. Scal rebounds. RA hits a jumper after some nice ball movement to get him over. House picks up his 4th foul. Williams misses the first. Pruitt comes in for House. Williams hits the second. Rondo had a shot but passes it up. He gets it out to Posey. Posey's pass is picked off. Williams takes it to the hoop and lays it in. RA's long 3 is way short at the buzzer. Score at the half is Sixers 50 and Celtics 40

Celtics with a shot clock violation as Posey is forced to shoot a tough shot from the corner as the SC goes off that doesn't hit the rim. Sixers miss and Powe rebounds. Scal hits a jumper. Iguodala drives down the lane and is fouled by Scal. Sixers inbound on the side. Green misses and Rondo rebounds. Scal hits a 3 from the corner to tie the game at 54. Evans knocks Powe to the ground and Powe draws the offensive foul. Rondo hits a baseline jumper to put the Celtics up 56-54. Time out with 6:57 left in the third. Pierce and Garnett were both off the bench to greet the team as they came off the floor.

Rondo pokes the pass away but Evans tracks down the loose ball. He takes it to the hoop and Rondo ties him up to prevent the layup. Evans hits both FTs. Powe spins down the lane and lays it in. Powe draws another offensive foul as he takes another charge and gets knocked to the floor. posey misses a 3 from the corner. Rondo comes from nowhere and grabs the rebound over Miller and then thows the ball off of Miller as he was falling out of bounds. Celtics miss and Evans rebounds. Miller is fouled and misses the first FT. Hits the second. Celtics turn it over. Miller takes it to the hoop and lays it in. Posey misses from the corner. Miller rebounds. Miller takes it to the hoop and rebound goes out off of Celtics. Rondo with a steal under the basket. Ray takes it down the lane and lays it in. Again Tommy says it is like melting butter and pouring maple syrup. Celtics called for a foul. Evans hits both FTs. Philly goes back up by 1. Rondo takes it to the hoop but can't finish. Sixers rebound. Smith hits a jumper from the FT line. Rondo misses a jumper from the corner. Smith rebounds. miller hits a jumper. RA takes it baseline and misses a reverse layup. RA is called for a foul. Time out with Philly up 65-60 and 2:38 left in the third.
