I can't recall a game being called for condensation. However, a good gesture by the Celtic players.

Not that I can remember a progame being called due to condensation on the floor. However, on these floors covered in the rubber covering rather than wood, such as my local YMCA, durring these transitional months with high humidity the floor does become so very dangerous that I and others have chose to quite and play another day. Congrats on the part of the coaches and or the refs too, in thinking of the health and potential injury prevented by calling the exibition game off !!! Any person who could not understand the decision to do so wouldn't be much of a fan in my book and probably also would have very little experience with the sport other than simply spectators with enough money to buy a ticket to an entertainment event... Although I too would be disappointed, I would have been more disappointed if someone got injured in a meaningless exibition game...

I remember a game back in 1990 I believe in the Boston Garden that was called for condensation on the floor. The players were slipping all over the place. DJ kept slipping when bringing the ball up. The Celtics were up by like 20 or 30 or something obscene when they called the game. Since it was a regular season game, they finished the game the next time the two teams were together.

Ok. There's one thing I don't get. They couldn't like clean it up?

Ok. There's one thing I don't get. They couldn't like clean it up? One would think, just wipe the floor. But, its like wiping the entire court.

From the sounds of it, wiping doesn't help. Plus, the game will be interrupted way too much if you have to wipe the floor after every possession.

They were constantly wiping it. When the team was at one end they had guys wiping up the other end. It was like constant condensation though and they couldn't keep up with it. It was the ice under the floor and the heat in the building causing problems

Yeah, they were constantly wipping the floors. The condensation was a big reason why NJ did not play VC and jefferson in the game. Poor planning on DCU part as i don't expect to play in worcester again anytime soon. At least, i'm getting my money back for that game so I don't have any complaints about having the game cut short.

It was rainy in worcester that night. I think in building like that when its on top of an ice rink and the amount of people they had in there it just created a bad effect. I'm not a meterologist, but I've played in gyms where there just is nothing you can do. You wipe the floor and it just keeps getting worse.
