I know this is preseason and usualyl the bench is utlilized a lot more during preseason and that is usually one of the bigger differences during the regular season is the bench is not utilized as much and we dont go as deep in the bench. I hope this year is different. I think one of the keys to our success is that we really utilize and have a real bench. I think we have a deep enough bench where we can go deep and keep our players fresh and play with intensity at the same time. I really hope the C's do this this year. I dont want this to become a 9 man rotation during the season. During the playoffs yes we will tighen it up more as teh season goes, but I really want to use the bench.

Obviously the guys we are seeing at the end of games might not be used as much, but guys like House, TA, Scal, Pollard, Posey, Powe, Jones are guys that can be used regularly imo. Big Baby has some work to do. SAme with Pruitt. Wallace is kind of an enigma imo. Whether we keep jones is another story. Same with WAllace. I think we have 7 guys on our bench that can play regularly right now......

This is why I think we keep 12 on our roster. Big Baby and Pruitt could be sent to the D-league. We might put Pollard on the IR as well which might open a spot for Davis or another big man. Wallace is really a ? mark and I want to keep him but I'm nto sure where to put him. We might have to let Jones go, but I dont want to do that either. I really think we should keep Wallace though... Manuel will be dumped. That's 15 and then we either keep Wallace or Jones or both if we go with 15. I say keep both and go with 15. Send pruitt and Wallace to the d-league and put Big Baby or Pollard on the IR.
If we want to add another big man down the road off of waivers we cut jones.

I'm thinking exactly like you CF00, but I thing if there is another big man to add we must cut Wallace, not Jones

If I'm utilizing our bench
I'd say
House, TA Posey Powe Pollard
Scal
should be utilized regularly based on the matchup.
Jones is worth hanging onto for now. Maybe we can swing a deal TA for a big man, but I honestly think we are fine with Powe, Scal, Pollard and Big Baby. I also really want to keep TA because he is one of the rare players we hav on the bench that can create his own shot and can slash and is a scorer. Most of the other guys are spot up shooters. I would more just hang onto Jones or cut him and look for a big man off the waiver wire. Keep Pruitt and Wallace and Big Baby based on potential.. I think those are teh 3 guys with the most potential. Jones has limited upside and his role is really limited here if we have TA and Posey but we could use a 3rd guy to throw in there especially if Wallace and Pruitt are in the NBDL. He's a decent stop gap and insurance for TA as well if he gets injured or whatever we decide to do with him. I'm really surprised we havent cut Manuel yet. I'm assuming he will be cut in the next day or so.
If I'm keeping 14 I keep those 6 as our bench and Pruitt, Wallace and Davis for potential. Jones is the 15th man. We can either trade TA for a big man and keep Jones. Or we can cut jones and sign a big man. Or just hang onto jones as insurance and be ok with what we have as far as big guys off the bench, which I pretty much am...
