Any thoughts on the chance of Pollard being cut? I haven't seen anything about the results of the tests which he had done.

I doubt Pollard will be cut. If anything, his injury may insure a spot for Batista to back up the back up.

I don't think Batista will be a back up for Pollard, hw will be a back up for Perkins, and Pollard will be back up for Batista

If I were the Celts and Pollard got beat out by either Batista or Davis I'd cut him. Even if he has a guaranteed contract it's only for a year. The other thing they could do is try to trade him for a conditional 2nd round pick. Maybe someone wouldn't mind getting a vet center with playoff experience and an expiring minimum contract. Kind of an ok way to take a million off your cap. But they'd have to waive someone to do it.

I think Pollard is going to help us this year. As long as he doesn't turn into Wally Szerbiak I wouldn't cut him.

Speaking of Wally, he is already sitting out games in the preseason because of swelling in his left knee. Seems like it's one thing or the other with him. I don't know if he will ever be healthy again.
