I've been trying to think of trying to compare our big 3 to the big 3, but it's kind of impossible. I guess we could do a Perk, GArnett, Pierce comparison to the big 3 plus we have Ray Allen but it's different.

So let's keep this simple for starters and go with the most logical even comparison. Who would you take in their prime Kevin GArnett or Kevin Mchale and why?

Me personally I would probably take Mchale. Just because of his ridiculous post game. When surrounded by great players he was able to utilize his greatest asset. Garnett is a better all around player and more athletic imo and someone who can do more things but I still thnk Kevin Mchale when surrounded by other players that can do the other things was a bigger weapon to have. But I can also see rethinking that. Because Garnett is pretty unstoppable in his own right plus he can do so many other things as well.

That's a toughie. Both are crazy defenders, both can rebound, and both can fill it up (though I'd value KM's low post game over KGs high post game). But if I had to choose one to build a team around, I'd choose KG. I like having a guy like KG that will lead by example as well as not being afraid to tell his teammates whats up.

I think once Garnett's career is over, he'll be ranked higher in the top 50 than McHale. For that reason, I chose KG.

I think this is a good example of why its difficult to compare players in different eras. In the '80s, the game was team basketball, and the fundamentals were emphasized. Now, the game is above the rim, and is more individual.

I would love to say McHale out of loyalty. And he did have a 26.1ppg Season compared to KG's best 24.2. And actually KG only has a career 3ppg (20.5) more than McHale (17.9). And if you take into consideration McHale did that with Bird and Parish. It kind of makes you wonder what you would do.

But I think I still might pick KG.
