I tend to think someone will get cut. I kind of doubt we are going to have 17 players under contract. This is why we have non guarenteed contracts because the guys with those will be battling it out for spots and we will keep who danny thinks can help us the most.

I don't know for me there are 5 guys of these 17 I mean Davis, Manuel, Wallace, Pollard & Scalabrinie, there is no empty spot in our roster for any of those guys, we must waived them and try to find something better for us. These 5 can't do s***, especial Pollard, Manuel and the meatball

However, I would hope we would keep Davis, and to a lesser extent Wallace.

I'm pretty sure we can only keep 15 guys under contract, and that includes NBDL guys. So we are going to have some paring down to do.

You are correct, Fresh. 15 is all we can have on the roster--and that includes players who are inactive, injured, and those we send down to the NBDL. They all will count as roster spots, and we have a total of 15 spots.
Here's the roster:
1) Garnett 2) Pierce 3) RAllen 4) Rondo 5) Perkins 6) Pollard 7) Powe 8) Big Baby 9) Scalabrine 10) Posey 11) TAllen 12) House 13) Pruitt 14) Dahntay 15) Batista
16) Manuel 17) Wallace
IMO, Manuel and Wallace are the most likely to get cut. With Posey now on the team, Manuel is not needed. Wallace is a player without a position, since he's not able to play much on the wings like a real SF (doesn't appear to have much of a perimeter game, or ball handling ability), and he's nowhere big or strong enough to play PF. They will need to blow up in training camp if they want to stick with the team. Dahntay Jones should be able to make it, since he's been in the league for 4 years now and has shown some good things in Memphis. From what I've seen of Jones at Duke, I didn't think he was much of a defensive presence, but Ainge says he is. And if he is, that gives him more of a chance to stick with the team. I'm still uncertain of Batista, since I really haven't seen him for myself. But sounds like a guy we should be an extended look at.

I like that roster and think it's undervalued. I think Posey and T Allen will be pretty good, and so I like situations where guys will have to compete and emerge like Baby vs Powe and Pruitt vs House and Pollard vs Scala. After the 7th man every spot has competition. People might emerge. At least one guy. Someone will surprise. Possibly Pruit. Possible Baby. Possibly Estaban. We don't know.

I hope they all will!!! Big Baby could turn out to be a solid bench guy who provides energy. I'd like to hear more about Estaban Batista--an offensive minded rebounder off the bench surely comes in handy.
