We don't need any more forwards but definitely do need another center. Our only back up is injury prone and has had a history of back injuries the past few years.
Batista would be a good signing if he isn't asking too much. I prefer Batista to Cato since he is young and has a lot of potential.

Man, i totaly back you up on Batista. He's our best shot in getting a valid alternative for the center.
Here's an interesting story about the uruguyan:
as a kid he played soccer in a local team and was the goalkeeper. One coach saw his size and physical skills and advised him to try basketball. He made a good impression and later in his career he left Uruguay towards Spain where he played in the spanish giant Real Madrid... most known for the soccer team.

That story reminds me of Mark Eaton, who was a water polo goalie before turning to basketball at UCLA and becoming one of the best shot-blockers in the NBA for the Utah Jazz in the 80s. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Eaton_(basketball)Batista seems like a more offensive player, and not quite the shot blocker, but the background as a goalkeeper could only help his defensive instincts.

This guy averaged 2, and 2 (no that's not a misprint) for the Atlanta (gulp) Hawks.
