Patterson, Jones and Posey

Mark Murphy says the Celtics are considering Patterson, Dahntay Jones and Posey.

The Celtics must now resume their search for bench help, with one looming possibility said to be Ruben Patterson, a defensively-tough free agent swingman who played for the Bucks last season.

The Celtics are also reportedly considering Dahntay Jones, the Memphis swingman who the Celtics originally drafted with the 20th pick of the 2003 draft as part of their eventual deal for Marcus Banks, and Miami swingman James Posey.

Does anyone get the feeling Danny is going insane thinking "wouldn't it be funny if I got tons of bench help, but not at the positions I need, and see if we can win it anyway"? Or maybe they have him tied up and gagged somewhere and someone else is trying to run a coup d'etat?

YEah these guys are garbage. On and off the court. Pollard and House were pretty much that as well, but they at least serve some sort of purpose. I was hoping for more. At least we will see more of Tony Allen and Big Baby, Powe and Scal...... P erk and Rondo better be ready to play major minutes.

I don't think DA's persuing of swingman FAs says as much about his sanity as it does that the Celtics brass dont expect TA to be ready to produce this season.

Id like to get Jones and/or Posey.

Posey can spell Pierce/Allen and Jones can take Allen's place till he returns.
