Well, it was something interesting to think about, and his veteran presence will certainly have helped. But he made an honest decision, and I admire that. I wouldn't have want Reggie back unless he was 100% committed to help us win it all, both physically and mentally.
I guess he still has time to reconsider, since training camp doesn't start till October.

I can't believe he wussed out. Maybe a ring wouldn't mean anything to him. He should have asked for a clause in his contract to not play against the Pacers.

If Reggie does not think he is up for it, he should not play. I gotta respect his private opinion.
Besides, we got Eddie House to knock down those treys. We need another big as I feel Perkins and Pollard won't be enough backup to the Ticket. Baby may or may not be ready there.

I think Reggie made the right decision, why come back and set himself up for all the BS he would hear if the Celtic's don't win the title this year, the media would have been all over him. . Miller's reputation is spotless, and a title is the only thing missing from his HOF career, and he is making big $ sitting in the studio. I would have loved for him to join the C's, because I know he would have given us a great weapon off the bench, because he would not have come back, if he could'nt give 110%.
I think Perkin's and Pollard will form a solid center rotation, and with KG, Scal's and Davis at PF, IMO the frontline will be fine. I think Davis will surprise alot of people this year. IMO, if T. Allen is ready for the start of the season, and House can handle the ball a little better, than he has in the past, and if Pruitt can give the C's, a little PT at the point, this bench will be alot better than most think. I would still like to see them sign a true vet. point guard, to back up and mentor Rondo. I mean it's not like any one off the bench at the 2, 3, or 4 is getting much PT. I also expect KG to log some min. at the 5.

I wonder how Reggie will feel when Paul Pierce is holding up the championship trophy at the end of the year and the Big Three are showing off their rings after we hoist banner #17.

Miller determined this squad does NOT have what it takes to win it all and decided to take a powder. Period. End of sentence.

When i first heard about this story i was intrigued to say the least, but you gotta understand are season does not relie on Reggie Miller yes he would have been nice for the rookies and for 10 points or so, but we just got to go after someone else.

I think Reggie realized he couldn't go all out for 82+ games this season. He retired pretty much on top and didn't want to be just another old guy whose skills are deteriorating and trying to hang on for a ring. If this is it, he made the right decision.

I'm glad he said no. Reggie Miller needs to go out a Pacer and hated by the C-fans... I just couldn't see him in green. FL doesn't have enough kool-ail to make it right.

Oh I'd take that kool-aid bet. I'd need something way stronger to make Kobe coming here right

No, Reginald is 42 years old, and not game.
