Bring out your best Kool Aide, or bust out your negativity wand and vote if we will win it all this season, or not.

Given our current roster, I vote not this year. We make it to the NBA Finals, then add the final ingredient next off season, plus one more year's experience for Rondo, Perk, Allen and Powe/Davis puts us over the top.

We're gonna be good, but not good enough to pick us over the field.

If BCHISTORIAN is right that will be the comeback of the History of Basketball (after worse season to the champion trophy)... But i think we have to have more luck to do this i'll happy if we go to the finals ...

I think we have the talent to compete with anyone in the east, or the mighty west. The question I have is, how long will it take for them to gel, and form that "elusive" chemistry that every great team has to have? IMO, if Rondo and Perk improve as much as I think they will, and T. Allen comes back (at least by mid-season) and plays like he did the last 15 games before the knee blew out, along with Pollard, Scal, and hopefully "Miller time", barring injury I don't think any team in the east can take us in a seven game series. I think we all know that anything can happen in the finals, but it will be tough to match the chemistry that the Spurs and Suns have, so I see us falling to the Spurs in 7. The 2009 title will be #17.

I think we have the talent now to win the championship. I think they will build chemistry quickly. They are all friends and have played together in the off season. Pierce is in Boston already to start working out. Rondo is watching miles of tape on KG and RA to see where they like to get the ball. Perk has been working like a madman all off season. We are there. My only question is can Doc lead this team to a championship? I have seen him out coached on a regular basis. In spite of that, I say yes, we win it all this season. I don't want to blow my rep as the resident koolaid drinker

I agree with you FLCeltsFan, Doc does scare the hell out of me, in close games. He has blown more than he has won.

But, I don't think this team will need as much coaching as the young teams have, the last few years. This team could make Doc coach of the year,LOL.

I say sure why not. This team is not being built to win next year. It's being built to win this year. When we traded for Garnett and Allen that's the plan. So yeah I expect us to win this year. There is no other team in the nba that can boast 3 players of Pierce, Garnett and Allen's caliber. We h ave the best players so why not?

I agree with you FLCeltsFan, Doc does scare the hell out of me, in close games. He has blown more than he has won. With the situation we had for Doc to have been in a close game in the first place could qualify as top notch coaching

Possibly, though it would follow the year Detroit won it all as the under dogs.

Good point, eja117, maybe he should have won coach of the year last year.

I wouldn't make any predictament whether this team can really compete for the title until Ainge fills out the roster. With the Big 3, we're certain to be able atleast make an impact in the playoffs. Right now, this team has way to many question marks that are going to be answered throughout the course of the season. - Whose going to give Allen/Pierce/KG a break?
- Can 3 primary scorers be able to co-exist
- Will Rondo be a starter in this league?
- Is the Perk the answer at Center?
- Can Doc Rivers emerge as a decent coach?
I think the chances of us winning it all this year is very unlikely because of having a complete overhaul on talent. Not to mention we have slim pickens with the free agents left on the market. I'm hoping we can pull it off but, not to sure how much faith have in our players after Allen/KG/Pierce.
