Did we give away our '08 1st round pick? Or is it a future 1st rounder we can choose to give them at any time?

We returned to Minnesota the pick they owed us from the Ricky Davis trade, plus our top 3 protected 2009 pick.

Late first-round selections will not make a difference.

Good, we still have a pick in next year's draft. We need to start accumulating young talent again. Thank goodness Ainge is a master at drafting gems, even with late 1st and 2nd round picks.
We mustn't forget that San Antonio built their second current dynasty with late picks. Tony Parker was a late first rounder and Manu Ginobli was almost undrafted.
