Just thinking, if Ratliff can remain healthy for 70 - 75 games this season, that'll be really good for us. We won't need to go outside to look for help cause we already have him in-house.. He'd be the defensive presence we need to join with Perkins.
But I just don't know if he can remain healthy for 70 - 75 games, especially during the playoffs.

Can Ratliff be healthy for 41 games?

We really should trade him. We don't have to do it right away. But the better he plays the more value he'll have so it's a good thing he's actually supposedly in shape. Plus we aren't in a rush where we have to deal him right away, and we can wait for the right deal. It might end up where we start the season with Ratliff and he see's a lot of action at the rate things are going.

It might be good to keep Ratliff to start the season and see how it goes. If he is healthy, there is the other veteran center we need. If Perk develps the way I thnk he will, Ratliff will only need to play 10-15 mpg. We can then trade him at the deadline when he will have even more value. Or, we can keep him and use that money for Jefferson's contract.

to answer the question: no.
whether or not use him in a trade: only if the deal makes sense.
a lot of people blame ainge for doing or not doing things. i think realistically fans ideas of what is possible or not are way off base. so we have to have a lot of patience with the ratliff saga as well

To answer the question : Hell NO!!
The best bet with Ratliff is to show him off and dump him before he can trip over his own feet and hit the IR for the season

Anything we get out of Ratliffe is a bonus. If he can up his trade value through performance, then that can really help us in February, 2008.

I don't know what to expect. But we better hope that he is able to go, because I don't see anyone else on the horizon. We need 15 or so minutes from someone who can be tough in the paint.

Theo is about as reliable as Pervis was.

Theo is about as reliable as Pervis was. And theo can't touch the beautiful man mane that Pervis brought to the bench every night.

Ratcliff is trade fodder.

Things have gotten pretty quiet of late. i'll be disapointed if we dont make another move or 2 before the season starts. not that we have to, but it would be nice to move ratliff asap.

As of right now we're going have to trust Theo is healthy to give us some quality minutes at Center. His value is only going to get higher when it comes toward the trading deadline.

I am expecting Ratcliff to sit on the bench. Anything else is a plus.
