The Herald is reporting that the Celtics have signed Brandon Wallace to a contract.

I hope this is like Pittsnogle's deal where they can let him go and only owe him like 50K, cause he showed nothing at all in today's game except that sometimes he pulls up for a jumper when he should obviously take it to the rack

Well, if its a 2 year contract, its not like the short term contracts that teams can sign players to, just to keep them up until the start of the season. A two year contract is pretty much like a deal you'd have to offer 2nd round picks, right?

Otherwise, you have to use the MLE to sign them i.e. Ryan Gomes.

Well, he's not a big man, though. Looking at his physique and the way he moves on the court, I just don't know how he was mistaken for a big man. He looks like a SF all the way.

Could he be a poor man's Derick McKey? I'd be cool with that.

Hopefully, it won't take too long for Wallace to get acclimated to the speed of the NBA. All I want from him is his defense. Come off the bench and start making it tough for opposing wing players to score.
I hope by the second half of the season, he'll be earning 15 minutes per game.
