This is something that hasn't really been discussed. We have 2 allstar players that do a lot of similar things. I think of AI and Carmelo and that didn't work out so well. Just wondering why people think Paul and Ray will be able to coexist or not. I think we definately have 2 bonafide scorers which should help but if you look at the upper echelon teams they usually have 1 wing scorer and one defender ie the pistons with Rip and Prince. GInobli and Bowen.

Yes, they can co-exist. Watch the UCONN teams from the late '90s, and Allen was a role palyer his first year, or two. Iverson, 'Melo is a bad example, because AI has to score and so does ''Melo.

I think they can. Both are older and want to win. Paul is a very good passer and I think he will trust Ray. Ray know's this is Paul's team and that AL is the low post buy he never really had.
they'll share the ball as long as they are winning.

I think they will coexist because of Ray Allen's attitude. He is willing to defer to Pierce as the team leader but I believe he will be more of a leader than Pierce in the end. Pierce will be happy with someone else willing to take the vocal lead while letting him be the leader in name. That is why it worked with Walker.
Pierce is more of a slashing player and Allen will open up the floor for Pierce to slash and for Al's inside game because he can fill the role that Wally was supposed to fill if he could have stayed healthy.
