Danny Ainge's legacy could be determined as successful or failure based on the Ray Allen deal. Fair? No.
My assessment is that Ainge has done well drafting, middle of the road trading, and poor on free agents.

No his legacy was to strip Pitino's team down to Paul Pierce and to try to rebuild around him with injured veterans. If Ray Allen goes down again, we are most certainly screwed. If everyone stays healthy, the Celtics are a Tier II team that makes the playoffs in the awful East.
Every team has a chance in the East, even the Knicks.
