After all the speculation, now there is this KG has said he doesn't want to go to Boston and if traded here he will opt out after this season. This should put an end to all KG to Boston speculation. Trading for him now would basically trade our future for a one year rental on a player who doesn't want to be here. Danny would have to be a complete moron if he continues to pursue it. sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2912075

Well it would be nice to see KG for the Green's but i guess some thing's are not meant to be, and anyway our future is more important.

Screw this guy. Who the hell does garnett think he is. Did the t-wolves make the playoffs. Garnett is afraid of the spotlight. He'd rather stay in minnesota where expectations are low, and when you lose people could careless. He knows if he comes to boston the spotlight, and the pressure goes up a few notches. The last time i checked garnett has zero rings on his fingers. I'm sure our ex celtics like ricky and blount had a some negative things to say about our organization, that may have influenced him. Garnett we don't need you, im sure you just sold out the garden next year, and you will be booed loudly.
I say we still should pursue Rashard Lewis. He seems to be the best possible options for us wiithout us sacrificing the farm. He's 6'10 , 3 years younger, and a better shooter, and it seems he wants to play for us. That's the deal we should be pursuing.

Good. Garnett is over-rated. How many playoff series have the T-wolves won w/ him in the starting line-up? About as many as his SAT score, which made him declare early for the draft.

At least we won't have to worry about trading an all-star young Bigman. Not sure what PP thinks of this. Might be time to move onto build around big al bandwagon?

I think we'll look back at this with a sigh of relief. garnett is an incredible player, but we were just giving up too much.

If Ainge was trading Al to get KG, then yeah it's great. If we had been able to keep AL... I think it sucks.
as for Lewis, do we really need another scorer who doesn't play D and is a below avg rebounder?

Lewis is an upgrade over any player not named Paul Pierce or Al Jefferson. With our embarassing record last year, we arne't obligated to pick and choose. Take the best player out there willing to play for this franchise. Then, you go build from there.

I don't blame KG for not wanting to play here. We are not even close to winning a title and he is already like 32 years old.
I would have been willing to trade him for Al Jefferson because I am not sold on him yet but I guess it is better to wait and see.

I would have offered the 32nd pick, our pick next year, their future pick, and their choice of Theo/Wally, Bassy, Powe, Scala, Ray and GG or TA. Take it or leave it. Or maybe PP and Scala.

The only thing Garnett has proven is a good player on a bad team.

yeah but maybe..... maybe he will come to Boston for Big Al & #5. The talk that he won't play for us is just a smokin' rumor of his agent. Everybody thinking that he don't even talk with Kevin for that. That's an information of Chad Ford in HoopsHype. They write that the Celtics and the Wolves are getting closer to the deal. If the deal is that I'll do it without hesitation.
