Rumor was that Pierce is in LA right now, and may be staying there for good. Is Ainge talking with Kupchak for a possible Kobe/Pierce trade?
FL makes a very good point, that Kobe is a cancer and will most likely take control of the team. I worry about this and hope that he can change, or learn to relinquish his dominance to incorporate Jefferson and Rajon into the mix. We must not be a one man team--Jefferson must be allowed to become the star player he has the ability to be.
Jefferson is the most talented big man Kobe will have played with since Shaq, and hopefully, this will change Kobe reluctance to share the superiority on the team. If he's truly about winning and wanting to win more championships, he's got to be willing to share the glory and trust his teammates.

Well to be fair most swing men that don't pass or run or hustle or lead (gee, do we have a guy like that?) are cancers.

Kobe does run the breaks, and he CAN pass, if he wants to. But I love Kobe's determination. I really don't care for Kobe that much, but he is a big time talent. He is better than Pierce.

In defense of kobe who does he have to pass the ball to? Kwame brown misses more 1 foot layups than anyone in the NBA. The suns did exactly what San Antonio did to lebron, take him out of the game and force others to beat them. Ainge isn't doing his job if he dosen't at least make the call to explore getting bryant. He's the best player in the league, and can do serious damage in the eastern conference.
I love pierce, but kobe is clearly the better player. I love kobe bryant. The guy is the ultimate competitor, and hates to lose. I'd love for him to be a celtic.

IDK. TMac and Vince didn't get much done in the East. Neither has Arenas or Michael Redd or PP.

TMac didn't have much of a team in Orlando. Vince's Raptors made it to the ECF without much supporting cast.
Michael Redd is not that good, IMO, and Arenas' Wizards are a big man away from being one of the east's top teams.

Didn't Vince's Raps have TMac? So why didn't he do much with Kidd and R Jeff?

I hate Kobe. I don't want him on the C's he talks about winning, but I don't think he has a clue how to do that without jacking up twice as many shots as anyone else on the team. he's Orlando Wooldridge IMO. More talented but still a scoring ball hog at heart. I also think he's slowed down the development of his teamates. Can anyone see him having patience with Rondo as Rondo continues to learn the Game? Will he feed Al in the post in crunch time or jump over 2-3 guys and launch some mad shot?
P.S. Vince has a very strong team in Toronto, with a younger healthier all-star playing Antonio Davis with him when they made their run. Loads of veteran role players, much like the Spurs had. In NJ, Kidd and Jefferson are not chopped liver. He's had talent around him, he's just mentally weak is all

It's all about chemistry and having your Alpha male player lead the team. T-Mac can't lead a boy scout troop to mc donald's

I don't like Kobe either but a Kobe, Jefferson tandem could dominate in the east. I doubt this will happen though. But who knows. I dont see us trading PP, especially to the lakers. Pierce wants to win and I'm not sure he would want to be in LA with the way things are there right now. Not that they are better here, but I doubt he'd agree to a trade just for a change in scenary.
