Our guests this week will be Sean Grande and "Home Run" Baker.
The ebullient, Sean Grande, has become a fixture on the Boston sports scene, most recently as the radio play by play announcer for the Celtics
As a B.U. graduate (and former voice of the Terrier Hockey Team), he understands the history associated with his job.
"I am not the voice of the Celtics," Grande insists. "Johnny Most is the voice of the Celtics. I'm just the current play-by-play announcer."
Here is an excerpt from his biography in the college newspaper: "The B.U. Bridge ."
When Grande graduated from BU in 1991, his goal was to be an announcer in a major league sport by the age of age 30. He realized his ambition two years early, however, becoming the youngest television announcer in the NBA in 1998 when he signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Sean has also worked for Boston College, ESPN and was the program director at WEEI.
Our other guest; "Home Run" Baker is one of the most well known posters to CelticsBlog, noted for his sobering objectivity.
