Its reported on Celticsblog that Ainge is inquiring about Robert Swift. I really must not see the entire picture because from the little I got to see of Robert Swift, he didn't impress me. Of course, that All-American game in '04 had Dwight Howard and Big Al Jefferson also showcasing their games, so my attention wasn't focused on Swift.
But it does peak my curiousity, though. Since the '04 draft, Ainge has been in love with this kid, and I really think Ainge has an incredible eye for talent. So what does he see in Swift? He must be an intruging talent since Ainge seems to chase after him year after year.

I like Robert Swift. He's a kid but he does have very good potential imo. People laughing at this kid will be eating their words in a few years. What I really liked about him was his aggressiveness and quickness around the rim. He's very much mchaleish how he goes right up with the ball. Plus he can shoot it. He's going to be a very good defensive player once he grows into his body. He's very quick for a big man. just his reaction speeds and timing on defense is what I noticed about him. Mchale used to be very good at keeping his arms up and reacting quickly. That's how I compare Swift to him. I watched him in the Mcdonald's game and I liked him. David Robinson was like that as well.

yeah, he really made some strides his second year. the only thing I'm worried about is that knee injury.

I'm worried about what Ainge would give up to get him...

I heard Swift is up to 7'2" 270 lbs? I would be extremely mad if Ainge gave up the 5th pick to get Swift. Only way i trade the 5th pick to Seattle is if we get Rashard Lewis back in S&T + Swift or package the pick for 2nd pick.
Possibly trade a future 1st rounder for him? I know its going to be a high asking price compare to what we all think he's worth.

He's definitely worth any combo of Powe, Ray, Scala, Theo, Bassy, Wally, 2nd rounders, future protected pick. He's worth our junk. I'm not sure he's worth our rotation guys or high picks. He didn't do much.
