Jessica Camerato covers the NBA for Basketball News, writing for Hoopsworld.com and SWISH Magazine. She spent the week in Orlando at the NBA Pre-Draft Workouts.

Jessica's interview with Doc Rivers (the lion in his den) is probably the most read Celtics article since lottery night.

"Rivers does not rule out the option of trading the fifth pick for an established player. He is confident that they will see upgrade no matter how they acquire the new Celtic."

“We’re just looking,” he said. “There are a lot of players out there and we’re going to improve our team. Whether it be through the draft or through a trade, we’re going to improve it.”

We'll be talking to her about her observations from the camp (wondering especially about BC's Jared Dudley) and trying to extract some of the unstated undercurrents, regarding the Celtics intentions.

Jessica has also been following the Pistons/Cavaliers series and has written eloquently for Hoopsworld, on the prospect of an upset in the making.


"On Thursday night, the Detroit Pistons faced a new opponent. His name was LeBron James … not to be confused with the LeBron James who played in the first four games of the Eastern Conference Finals. It seemed like the Pistons had never met this guy before, because they had no idea how to stop him."

TREVISO, Italy (Ticker) - Benetton Treviso boss David Blatt is a wanted man............."Dynamo offered me a fantastic contract with excellent financial terms," said Blatt to Sovetsky Sport. "However, they insisted on a swift signing of the contract that would have me in place as coach very soon."

Blatt then revealed the possibility of going to North America.

"Furthermore, I have received a few tempting offers from clubs in the NBA," he said. "Plus, Benetton don't want to let me go. So, I needed some time to weigh everything up and think over all the available options."

Eurobasket has posted that David Blatt signed a contract with the Turkish team.

The rumors regarding Efes Pilsen's new head coach has come to an end and the Turkish powerhouse finally signed with Benetton Treviso coach David Blatt for the upcoming season. Former Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Dynamo St. Petersburg coach put pen on paper for a lucrative 1+1 deal.

In other (related?) news, Wallace seems set to go to Memphis.

I always though these were related events and when I read that Wallace was in Travieso last week, where Blatt was interviewed about his NBA offers, I figured.......but no dice.
