CSL = celticsstufflive - For those of you who listened, I was to come up with a realistic scenario for getting Jason Kidd. I came up with this as my best proposal assuming New Jersey decides to blow up their team along with us.
New Jersey Trade Breakdown
Outgoing
Jason Kidd
6-4 PG from California
13.0 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 9.2 apg in 36.7 minutes
Richard Jefferson
6-7 SF from Arizona
16.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 2.7 apg in 35.6 minutes
Incoming
Paul Pierce
6-6 SF from Kansas
25.0 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 4.1 apg in 37.0 minutes
Wally Szczerbiak
6-7 SF from Miami-OH
15.0 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.7 apg in 28.1 minutes
Brian Scalabrine
6-9 PF from USC
4.0 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 1.1 apg in 19.0 minutes
Sebastian Telfair
6-0 PG from Abraham Lincoln (HS)
6.1 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 2.8 apg in 20.3 minutes
Change in team outlook: +20.8 ppg, -0.3 rpg, and -2.2 apg.
Boston Trade Breakdown
Outgoing
Paul Pierce
6-6 SF from Kansas
25.0 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 4.1 apg in 37.0 minutes
Wally Szczerbiak
6-7 SF from Miami-OH
15.0 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.7 apg in 28.1 minutes
Brian Scalabrine
6-9 PF from USC
4.0 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 1.1 apg in 19.0 minutes
Sebastian Telfair
6-0 PG from Abraham Lincoln (HS)
6.1 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 2.8 apg in 20.3 minutes
Incoming
Jason Kidd
6-4 PG from California
13.0 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 9.2 apg in 36.7 minutes
Richard Jefferson
6-7 SF from Arizona
16.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 2.7 apg in 35.6 minutes
Change in team outlook: -20.8 ppg, +0.3 rpg, and +2.2 apg.
Successful Scenario
Due to New Jersey and Boston being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New Jersey and Boston had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Trade ID
Every trade made by fans is allocated a unique Trade ID which you can share with friends and fellow basketball fans to allow them to see your trade scenario. The Trade ID for this scenario is 3799170.

What it amounts to is a fresh start for both teams that frankly need a do-over. Boston can toss in Gerald Green or their 3,4, or 5 to balance the talent exchange. New Jersey is probably going to lose Vince Carter to FA. I know you guys are going to shoot it full of holes and whatnot, but hey, can you come up with a better proposal? At least Jason can make the young core a whole lot better in my humble opinion and we challenge for the EC championship next year. GOLF
