From the Washington Post....
Would Washington do a Telfair and Scal for Haywood trade? I have seen this bounced around and I like it.....

If Telfair had to be traded away, and this was our only choice, then yes, I would make this trade. Haywood still won't be happy with his minutes here because he'll have to battle Perk, so his heart may still long to go elsewhere.

I love this trade and if the money were similar I'd do it in a heartbeat, especially if they contacted Haywood and he were cool with it. If I were Haywood I'd be happy cause we need big guys and Perk gets hurt a lot and till this year so did Al, and Powe had knee problems in Cal, and Theo doesn't exist these days, and Gomes is getting more minutes at sf.
Plus in a way he could just take Scala's minutes, which as we all know seems like 35 minutes a game

The trade machine works perfectly. It's like we'd be cutting 100K and Scala and Haywood both have 4 years remaining. If Brendan were ok with it I'd do it. It might be good (or bad) to have a UNC guy in case we end up with Brandan Wright. The Brandans

good trade.. unless we get the #1 ping pong ball. Oden/Perk is beast enough at the C posistion !!!

I think Scal only has 3 years left. I could swore he signed a 5 year deal. Anyhow, I cannot stand Haywood as a player, but for scala and basy I'd have to think about it. I'd prolly rath have scal, but brandon still has decent trade value. I'd say do it and then use him in another trade. perk is a much better fit on this team than haywood.

Scal did sign a 5 year deal... he has been here 2 years already and has 3 more left. I agree Perk is a better fit than Haywood but if we get Durant instead of Oden, Perk would be the starter and haywood the back up.

No. Not a team player. Got into several altercations w/ Thomas, because Haywood lost his role as the starter.
