If anything, having those two in the post will make it more difficult for those two when it comes to driving. What it will do is give them an unlimited supply of open jumpers. What worries me about having those on the court at the same time is that it allows other teams to send there guards down to double Al with impunity. Whoever are guards are down the road, they need to be able to be able to hit the open J with some regualrity. Lets hope rondo and allen work out the kinks on their J. I know I am saying this for the umpteenth time, nut this another reason why i think Bibby is the perfect fit. He allows Rondo to mature w/o the scrutiny of being the starting PG. Most situations call for a guard to feed the post and then move away so that his man doesn't double up on the post player. When either Rajon or Tony do this, they will slash past Jefferson or Oden, and if the play is open, they will receive the hand off and take it to the basket for a layup or a dunk. And a good defender will follow the cutter and stick with them until the leave the basket. once the cutter leaves the paint(to make room for the post player to operate), the cutter's defender can stay and double team the big. cuts or no cuts, having two guards on the court that cannot shoot does not bode well for a low post game. can it work? Probably. But most good coaches could exploit the heck out of it in a play-off series.

If you're going to have Oden and Jefferson playing in the starting lineup we're going to need guys like Green or Wally in the lineup. Unless Allen can hit an open jumper consistently (before the injury) then this lineup will be a non-issue. Otherwise, we are going to see a 70 to 80 pts offensive basketball team.

If we didn't get one of the top two picks I'd trade the whole roster (except maybe Gomes) for Durant AND Oden. I'd hate to see Rondo go though.

I'd trade our whole roster for either of those two. too bad no team would take it.

If that's what defenses will do when Tony and Rajon slash past Jefferson and Oden in the post when the have the ball, Tony and Rajon will make them pay. Delonte and Jefferson (and Perk) combined to make that play a lot this season, where Delonte's man stayed with Al instead of following Delonte.

OK, it seems like were going in circles now. So you don't think having two guards who cannot shoot on the court together for long periods of time wont have a major effect on Al's ability to perform in the low post?

What I'm saying is when Tony and Rajon are on the court, its best to make them slash through the paint when the ball is fed into the post (as opposed to standing around waiting to take perimeter shots) because good things will happen.

I wouldn't bet against Rondo having a jumper next season. He improved quite a bit over the course of the season and with his work ethic, I can see him working on it this summer until he has it down.

What would we be giving up for Bibby? I'm sure they will want atleast Rondo or Green in return for him. Not saying he's worth that much but, I have to look at the Kings point of view. It's nice thinking about grooming Rondo out but i can't see the kings trading Bibby away and not getting a good prospect like in return. I'd say Ratliff, Green, Gomes, and a 2nd Rounder should do it.

If I were Sactown I wouldn't be trading a near all-star pg for a backup pf, salary dump, 2nd rounder, and guy who is years away. And if I were the Celts and I had a 1rst year pg who is a jumper away from all-star himself I wouldn't find the need

Also who are these two guard that can't shoot? I know Rondo is one. I was under the impression TA, West, Wally, GG, and PP can all shoot some

You make that trade offer, and I guarantee you'd get Sacto's attention at the least.
