It would make perfect sense for this guy to spend some years in Europe or some such place till he proves he can stay out of trouble for maybe 3 years

Seriously Bassy is about to be the pac-man jones of the NBA. Stern is about protecting the image of the league, and stern will make an example out of him. Unfortunate, but these guys continue to make bad decisions.
