We have the Miami feed tonight and their announcers are among my least favorite. On the pregame show they said it was almost certain that Oden and Conley would be announcing for the draft soon. All this playoff talk makes me nauseous. Lets talk about the draft....
Rondo, West, Perk, Al and Gomes starting for the Celtics. Mourning and Haslem are out for no particular reason other than to rest them.
Perk wins the tip. West drives down the paint and lays it down to Al who lays it in. Wade spins and his pass goes through Shaq's hands out of bounds. Gomes misses a 3 and Heat rebound. Walker turns the ball over out of bounds. Gomes turns it over on a bad pass. Shaq hits a hook shot in the lane. Shaq blocks Perk's jump hook but Gomes is there to get the ball and a layup. Heat turn the ball over out of bounds. West is fouled by Wade. West shoots an airball that goes out of bounds to the heat. Walker misses a 3 and West gets the long rebound. Al is fouled as he goes up for a shot on the baseline. He hits both FTs. Time out with Celtics up 6-2 with 8:41 left in the first

The announcers called the Celtics Gang Green... UGH! Heat miss and Celtics rebound. West called for a travel as he makes a move in the lane. Shaq misses a jumper and Perk rebounds. Wade with a steal from Gomes. Wade takes it coast to coast and draws the foul on Rondo as he takes it to the hoop. He hits both FTs. Defensive 3 second violation on Wade. West hits the T. Celtics inbound with 14 on the SC. West misses from the FT line. Shaq rebounds and Wade gets it to Walker who misses the layup but Wade is there for the tip in. Gomes is fouled by Jones as he goes in for the layup. He hits the first and Kapono comes in for Jones. Gomes misses the second and Shaq rebounds. West with a steal. Rondo takes it to the hoop and lays it in. Wade misses a jumper and Al rebounds. Delonte shoots another airball that goes out of bounds to the Heat. Walker has his shot blocked by Al. West gets the ball to Al in the paint for a hook shot. williams hits a 3 from the top of the arc. Green misses a jumper and Williams rebounds. Walker hits a 3. No shimmy. Al misses a jumper and Heat rebound. Al gets a steal on a long outlet pass. Green misses a 3 and Perk rebounds. West takes it to the basket and lays it in. Williams hits a straight away 3. They are leaving him alone beyond the arc and he is making them play. Foul on Williams. West curls to the hoop and lays it in. West with a block on Wade. West misses in the lane and Green misses the rebound. Green steals the ball from Wade and gets it out to Rondo who takes it in for a layup. Time out with 2:19 left in the 1st quarter and Celtics up 18-15

Celtics so far are competing by running and getting easy baskets by beating Miami down the court. That and working Jefferson against Walker  |

Quinn airballs a 3. Celtics rebound. Heat with a steal. Wade takes it hard to the hoop and lays it in. Green misses a 3 and Quinn rebounds. Kapono hits a jumper. Powe misses a jumper as Doleac gets a piece of it. Heat come away with the rebound. Heat miss a jumper and Rondo grabs the rebound. West misses a 3 and Posey rebounds. Rondo fouls Quinn and Heat inbound with 5 in the quarter. Kapono hits a jumper off the inbounds pass and Celtics miss a heave at the buzzer. Score at the end of 1 is Heat 21 and Celtics 18

Heat inbound to start the 2nd. Barron misses a jumper and Celtics rebound. Offensive foul on the Celtics. Offensive foul on Doleac. Green misses and Heat rebound. Celtics knock the ball out of bounds and Heat inbound with 14 on the SC. Kapono hits a jumper. Green misses a jumper and Heat rebounds. Green blocks Quinn's shot out of bounds. Heat inbound with 20 on the SC. Heat miss and Gomes rebounds. Powe called for a foul on Doleac. Heat inbound. Kapono misses and Celtics rebound. Offensive foul on Ray. Quinn steps out of bounds as he drives baseline. I wish these announcers would call the game instead of talking about the picnic and the playoffs and who they are playing etc. I hate that. They are talking about everything but the game. Powe gets inside for a layup. Time out with Heat up 23-20 and 8:29 left in the half

And now the game slows to a crawl with Bassy running the offense, the ball not getting inside, and Gerald Green getting poor looks at the shot clock buzzer.
As a result, Miami has control.

Celtics inbound in the back court Powe is fouled as he hits a jumper in the lane. He hits the FT. Doleac fouled by Powe as he misses a jumper. STOP WITH THE PLAYOFF TALK ALREADY!!! There is a game going on here - Talk about THIS game!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR He hits both FTs. West misses a 3 and Heat rebound. Barron hits a jumper. Green misses a 3 and Heat rebounds. Celtics are 0-9 from beyond the arc and Green is 0-6. Doleac misses a jumper and Green rebounds. Telfair called for an offensive foul. Heat miss and Gomes rebounds. Gomes is fouled by Kapono as he goes up for a shot. He hits the first and misses the second. Quinn misses and Posey comes down hard on Rondo who hits the floor hard. Rondo still on the floor as they cut to time out. 5:44 left in the half and Heat up 27-24.

Rondo took a very hard fall with Posey on top of him. Rondo back on the floor so he is ok. He sure is a tough little guy! Shaq hits a jumper. Gomes takes it to the hoop and is fouled very hard by Shaq. He hits hits both FTs. Perk blocks Walker and he comes away with the ball. Al takes it in for a layup. Walker misses a 3 and Rondo rebounds. He takes it into the paint and draws a foul on Kapono. He hits both FTs to give the Celtics a 1 point lead. Williams hits another 3 from the top of the arc. They have to stop leaving him alone out there. Shaq blocks Al's shot on the baseline. Celtics inbound with 3 on the SC. Perk doesn't get a shot off in time as he tries to get around Shaq. Walker hits a 3. Al hits a jumper from the wing. perk called for a foul on Shaq. Time out with Heat up 35-32 and 2:43 left in the half

Walker misses a 3 and Al rebounds. West hits a jumper. Shaq backs in and draws the second foul on Perk. He hits both FTs. Shaq blocks Rondo's layup but Perk is there for the rebound and put back. Jones hits a 3. Al misses a layup and Heat get the rebound. Williams hits another 3 from the same spot at the top of the arc. GET SOMEONE to GUARD HIM!! Time out with 42 left in the half and Heat up 43-36

Posey came down on his wrist in that collision with Rondo and has gone to the locker room. Rondo misses a jumper at the SC. rebound goes out of bounds to heat. heat can take the last shot. Wade misses a 20 foot jumper at the buzzer. Score at the half is Miami 43 and Boston 36.

Posey has a sprained wrist and shoulder from his collision with Rondo and will not return to the game. It was funny because the announcers were saying when they collided that Rondo would get the worst of that collision and then Rondo is back and Posey is out.
Starters on the floor for the Celtics. Heat inbound to start the third. Heat miss and Shaq rebounds and Al picks up a foul on the rebound. Walker misses a hook shot in the lane and Al rebounds. West knocks down a 3. Shaq misses a hook shot and al rebounds. Shaq fouls West as he drives around the top of the arc. Al misses a jumper and Shaq rebounds. Walker misses in the paint and Al rebounds. West misses on the baseline and Walker rebounds. Rondo called for his second foul on a reach in. Heat inbound in the back court. Perk knocks the pass out of bounds. Heat inbound with 8 on the SC. Wade gets it inside to Shaq for a dunk. Rondo drives to the hoop and lays it in. Shaq hits a hook shot in the lane. Rondo drives into the lane and runs into Shaq and hits the floor hard. It was like running into a brick wall. He hits both FTs. Shaq misses and Perk rebounds. Wade called for a goal tend on West's layup. Wade with a double pump and hits the shot and draws the foul on Perk, his 3rd. Wade misses the FT and Perk rebounds. Gomes misses a 3 and Shaq rebounds. Jones hits a 3 from the corner. Time out called with 7:45 left in the 3rd and Heat up 52-45
