I know that this isnt really worthy of its own post, but I'd like to see us persue PJ Brown in free agency. Why, you ask?
-he'll come cheap
-he's full to the gills with vet experience
-he's one of the classiest guys in the NBA
-one of the hardest working defenders in the NBA
-hes big
-he can still contribute in limited minutes.

If he comes here, it'll be mostly for the behind the scenes things, like work ethics, lockerroom presence, lifestyle mentoring, stuff like that. There's not much he'll contribute on the court. He may be able to teach Jefferson and Perk some veteran tricks on defense--that'll be nice.

I also feel that if he were to come here, he's way past any real impact beside being a tutor for AL J and Perk etc. I'm sure his solid D would be refreshing, however.

Yeah, I wouldnt expect him to do much on the court, but he'd more than earn the 1-2 mill he's going to demand just for what he would bring to the lockerroom and to practice.

I'm not sure guys like PJ can show our guys much more than Clifford Ray. Maybe. I think I might rather have Grant Hill. I'm not sure I want to kick a guy like Powe off the team forever so I can have a guy like PJ for one or two years. Maybe if DA can pull off another awesome deal like he did to get rid of Raef and Blount. I can see trading away Scala and Ratliff or Wally and like our 3rd pick for something we don't get excited about just like he did with Roy seeing as how we didn't need Roy and had prospects just as good (if TA hadn't gotten hurt he might have had a MUCH better year than Roy and GG might not be far behind. And we still have PP and Wally. And Ray's not bad and Gomes has started shooting 3 pointers. We still don't need Roy. In fact we need him now even less than before)
