Unless Danny Ainge can get Oden or Durant, he might try to move his pick and/or Paul Pierce for a package of veterans. Ainge has put together a talent-laden, young team, but he's gotten no results from it. In order to win, he has to balance out the roster with some veteran leadership. As a result, the Celtics might be the most likely team to make a trade – assuming they can't get either of the Big Two. Does this mean hello Gasol if we dont get one of the top 2?

I think Danny pulls the trigger on the deal for Gasol, if the Celtics don't land a top 2.

I'm not sure that's what he'd do (give up a lottery pick), especially since we can't do worse than the 5th pick (which is the absolute worst case scenario). If we can't land Oden or Durant, there are still a number of high quality players who Ainge may already have big interest in.
I think Ainge may still be able to make a trade for a veteran (like Gasol) without including our draft pick.

Team is talent laden.... but yet no results from it. I wonder if it could be the coach who doesn't know how to get the results from the talent.

You could say the exact same thing about the Cavs. So I guess that means they should trade Lebron right? For a veteran of course cause you really need vets to win anything. Kinda hard to win when half the team including maybe 3 of your four best players are hurt. I'm waiting till next year. If Doc gets thru the season with most everyone healthy - even if PP gets hurt - and doesn't win a lot more I'd get rid of him. Till then I think he did a way better job than pretty much any other coach would have done.
