"Oden will not save the Celtics. They have to get veterans to surround Oden to save the Celtics."
What they don't understand is that Jefferson, Perkins, West, Gomes, Tony Allen, Green, and Rondo are going to be a year older. Wally, Scal, Pierce, and Ratliffe are the veterans under contract. We don't know what this team is capable of even if Doc Rivers is invited back to coach the team.
Ainge does have his work cut out for him this summer in deciding who to keep and who to let go. The draft is seemingly a no brainer if we get the top 2 and both Oden and Durant declare.
At some point, the Celtics must get better.

I don't think of it as needing vets. That's exactly what two parasite vets that could never lead a team to anything themselves and then latched onto Shaq and Wade would say. I think of it as needing All-stars. PP is an all-star. Al J has been all-star the last several months. TA was all-star before he went down. Over the last 10 games Rondo is shooting 45%, and has only two less steals than TOs. West and Gomes are still two of the best bench players around. Scala is still the leagues best 14th man. Green can still jump through the roof and is now averaging 10ppg and is getting better albeit slowly. Powe is still probably better than Scala. Wally can still shoot. We still get a high draft pick. Enjoy the Shaq train while you can. What's that Gary? Was that a turtle that just passed you or a tortoise, cause I have a hard time figuring out the diff. What's that Toine? An elephant skinnier than you? Which shoots better too?

Screw these clowns. Walker gets booed down here in miami every oher night, and the glove has turned into the mitten. I hate the miami heat. They alomost lost to us friday night, with only 8 players. A new day is coming fellas. If we land oden we win the atlantic division. No other the team in the conference would have the kind of inside force we would have, other than Shaq.
Walker will always have ill feelings towards boston, so his comments don't suprise me at all. Let's see walker run his trap next year when the majority of the heat team is gone. I'll take our future over their's anyday of the week.

Antoine may get booed in Miami but he has his diehard fans in Boston in who's eyes he can do no wrong. I think he got the biggest hand of anyone who stepped on the court in either uniform the other day in Boston.
To me his comment certainly sounds like sour grapes. And Payton sounded like he was talking to just hear his own voice. He was contradicting himself all over the place.

I was of the supporters of 'Toine. I always stuck behind him through all the crap C's fans and critics gave him. However, this has been enough to turn me. No one messes with Club Green!
I still feel bad about the way Ainge treated him.

For some reason, 'toine comments stung me more than Payton's.
